Immigration Checkpoints In Mexico Not So Casual As In Obama's America

Mexico-SC
Border Security Chaos

There's little doubt that something is very wrong with our Federal government and its inability, and what's worse, it's lack of desire to control our borders, and that means southern, northern, eastern, western, on foot, or in planes, trains, or automobiles, tanks or even tuxedos. The apathy at the top is treasonous. The ill will that we as a sovereign people have suffered at the wit of fellow citizens and foreign invaders alike whenever even broaching the subject is not even conceivable anywhere else in the world, until recently as Europe has continued to allow its Muslim problem fester and evolve into something worse.

With the Supreme Court’s decision on the Arizona Immigration Law, it brings back what happens if one travels down the interior of Mexico or Baja. We have been to Cabo by car three times and once in an RV, which is about 1,000 miles. Each trip, we were stopped four times by the Mexican military, who boarded our RV and searched every cupboard and closet while asking questions and asking to see our passports and paperwork. You have to get out of the car, and they look in the trunk and at all goods you have with you. They have huge sub-machine guns trained on you so you don’t argue. They search all vehicles, not just travelers.

They ask for all papers, which are required if you travel more than 70 miles from the border. You have to pay about $200 and have your birth certificate and/or passport to get visa papers to travel in Mexico. When crossing back to the U.S. border, you must have a passport and show proof of citizenship.

If you live in Mexico there, and if you are not a legal Mexican citizen, you are constantly stopped and asked for your papers by the police at any time, even without cause.

Yet, Mexican Pres. Calderon has the nerve to object to illegal immigrants from his country being stopped in the U.S, even once, or asked for identity or papers. Why is no one reporting this? Imagine the military here stopping everyone and boarding and inspecting all vehicles while guns are trained on us, and we have to produce papers and passports!

Ambiguous Traces Of Race

DATELINE JULY 17, 2003. Linda Chavez's article deserves a spot here. Her new book: An Unlikely Conservative is rising up the charts, and pleasures me, and frankly I'm happy to report, she's no David Horowitz, whose flipside conservatism at first thrilled me, but now chastens me, as I realize to what lengths he wishes to mimic the opposition, merely to win a political football game. Fight boldly, fight wisely; use every muscle available, but keep it honorable.

Whatever happened to the idea that righteousness is its own reward? But back to the article at hand—how did Chavez, a former liberal, become "the most hated Hispanic in America"? According to Townhall book reviewer Sherri King, it's because "she is an Hispanic who has rejected the politics of ethnocentrism for the unifying power of old-fashioned liberal democracy and made good on the promise of the American dream." Chavez' book is "part political memoir and part autobiography," and you'll eat up her tales of working in the Reagan White House.

Chavez in her own words (mine in italics): The NAACP is America's oldest civil rights organization, and for years stood as the moral conscience of the nation, fighting for the rights of black Americans to equal treatment at the polling booth, in the schoolhouse, in the courts and in the marketplace. How sad, now, that this venerable institution has been turned into a caricature of its former self.

Absolutely scary, isn't it? I'm damned grateful that clear thinking Americans in MY generation have learned to discern the difference between pride and prejudice, racism and identity, slavery and competition, hard work and hardly working. I am proud of the miles most Americans have moved past the shackles and lunch counter era, but for some people, the past is always nostalgic, and their reasons are legion.—GT

Its leaders are stuck in a time warp, imagining they still live in a world of pick-ax-wielding bigots and lynch mobs. NAACP chairman Julian Bond, a veteran of the civil rights movement and a former Georgia state legislator, has been reduced to ugly name-calling in order to attract media attention. At the NAACP convention meeting in Florida this week, Bond accused the Republican Party of "appealing to the dark underside of American culture. . . . Their idea of reparations is to give war criminal Jefferson Davis a pardon. Their idea of equal rights is the American flag and the Confederate swastika flying side by side," he told a cheering crowd.

Mister Bond, also from Georgia, also nearby, in my present neighborhood. Taller than I imagined, yet also decidedly more lifeless. Yes, I have met the man on two occasions, briskly handsome like new steel in his expensive university letterman's jacket and chisled stone expressionless face, he seemed to exude the promise of, not of vacuous ambiguity but of bold paradox, a mixed signal to those outside his running crowd. His palor of warm, even comforting awareness and of a distant, indifferent unapproachable engagement, a silent preditor, or perhaps one marked for his troubles with the stain of Cain (see trash DNA)—GT

The group no longer has an agenda, other than to "uproot the bigger 'Bush' in 2004," as Bond promised. But the putatively non-partisan group may run into problems fulfilling that goal, given its declining status. The NAACP has become so irrelevant that even Democratic presidential aspirants—none of whom could hope to be elected without winning 90 percent of black votes nationwide—can afford to boycott the group's annual meeting. Senators Joe Lieberman and Dennis Kucinich and former Missouri congressman and House minority leader Dick Gephardt all had "other commitments" that prevented them from attending the convention.

With the stability of the world in jeopardy, who has time for the rantings of a man mad on the hope that old symbols still work new miracles? In an era of massive illiteracy, why is the only history some folks recall is the history of the losing side of the war most have agreed was fought and finished nearly 150 years ago without a hint of recognition for the preceding 150 and the 150 since, thus filling them with admiration for the social progression which continues to this day as a beacon to the nations, for where else do as many cultures and races intermingle and have such a strong degree of power in the running of that nation, but HERE, HERE IN AMERICA, nowhere else, my friends.—GT

Bond’s race initiative crudely deforms the very face of common decency. Somehow, each radicalized liberal seems to think that victims of crime (innocent or otherwise) are criminal, and criminals (guilty or otherwise) are mere pawns in a parlor game being systematically crushed by the race-oiled wheels of justice. Nonsense of the lowest order.
Bond may not recognize it, but racism is no longer the major problem facing American blacks. For the minority of black Americans—23 percent—who lived below the poverty line in 2001, discrimination isn't to blame. What is? A list of likely culprits would surely include the collapse of the black family, the failure of the public schools and black-on-black crime.

Indeed, as written somewhere else in this SWORG manifesto of voices, the poor in this country have mostly themselves to blame for their continued sorry state. It's all in the attitude, or spirit. Where the flesh fails, often the spirit succeeds. Where the spirit fails, not even the flesh can succeed for long. But the blame game, now THAT seems to last forever, doesn't it?—GT

National Center for Health statistics indicate that with two out of three black babies born to unwed mothers today, black children are far more likely to grow up poor than youngsters from any other group. And according to the Census Bureau, black children in single mother households are nearly five times more likely to live in poverty than are black children born to two-parent families; 47 percent of black youngsters under 18 who live in female-headed households are poor compared to only 10 percent who live with two parents. The problem of illegitimacy has plagued the black community for nearly 40 years, but goes unaddressed by the NAACP or any other major black organization.

Unfortunately, throughout this past century, the least financially and psychologically prepared populations always seem the most eager to reproduce, thus increasing the misery of that unpreparedness or poverty exponentially. There are a myriad of reasons driving this irresponsible behavior, even a few, if not completely valid, somewhat understandable defenses dealing with social-preservation at some deep-rooted level. But then self-justification at the expense of favorable results has just about run its course, and should be replaced in social policy by greater considerations and better execution of the rewards of self-reliance, self-inclusion (not the "self-exclusion" of race-based biases and dependencies), and self-awareness, the latter whose absence creates not a colorblind society but merely a blind one.—GT

Julian Bond
Julian Bond
Julian Bond did talk about education in his convention address, but most of what he said took the form of vicious attacks on both Gov. Jeb Bush's and President Bush's education reform efforts. "Gov. Jeb Bush's notion of school reform is going to send black children to reform school," Bond said of Florida's efforts to put an end to promoting kids from grade to grade even if they haven't learned anything. So-called "social promotions" have resulted in schools graduating black high school seniors who—on average—read at the eighth-grade level.

Case in point. Not much to add beyond what I pointed out in the above characterization.—GT

Bond also talked about crime -- but his sympathies were directed exclusively to the criminals. He bemoaned the sorry fact that 12 percent of all black men between the ages of 20 and 34 are incarcerated, and the NAACP has made voting rights for felons one of its top legislative priorities in recent years. But what about the black victims on whom these criminals prey, the men and women who work hard everyday, only to be beaten, robbed, raped and murdered, not by Ku Klux Klansmen but by predators in their own communities? If the NAACP were truly concerned for the plight of black Americans, wouldn't it be pushing for more police and tougher sentences for violent offenders, not worrying about whether it can deliver more jailhouse votes to the Democratic Party?

Indeed. Bond's race initiative crudely deforms the very face of common decency. Somehow, each radicalized liberal seems to think that victims of crime (innocent or otherwise) are criminal, and criminals (guilty or otherwise) are mere pawns in a parlor game being systematically crushed by the race-oiled wheels of justice. Nonsense of the lowest order.—GT

There is much work left to be done if the lives of America's poorest blacks are to improve—but the NAACP seems to have little interest in tackling the really tough issues, unlike the late great Reggie White. Instead, its leaders would rather blame latent racism and Republicans, and look to government to solve the problems of a community whose only hope is to heal itself as dignifies any free people.

Back to the basics, folks, back to the basics. Yet, as for the Republican Party, let's let these other companies fail WHEN they fail. Yes, Virginia, The playing field IS slanted, toward powerful corporations and against the insignificant man, no matter what his color or proximity to God.—GT

Jennifer Carroll: Self-Recognition And Self-Resolve

Lt Gov Jennifer Carroll
Lt Gov Jennifer Carroll
O SAY CAN YOU SEE, by the dawn's early light, and have you ever stopped to take measure of Black Republicans in Congress and other places that have known to represent the power of the people? It's time to get acquainted with one such person, in particular.

Inspired with strong family values, Jennifer Carroll, 51, was born in Trinidad and moved to New York City with her great aunt and uncle when she was 8, just as desegregation was taking hold. On television, she saw reports about civil rights and Martin Luther King's assassination.

Two years after graduating from Uniondale High School in New York state, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1979. After serving as an Aviation Machinist Mate (Jet Mechanic), she was selected for Enlisted Commissioning Program, becoming an Aviation Maintenance Officer in 1985. She retired from the Navy in 1999 as a Lieutenant Commander. In 1981, she received an Associate of Arts degree from Leeward Community College. She followed this in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of New Mexico. She moved to Florida in 1986. She received a Master of Business Administration degree from unaccredited online diploma mill Kensington University in 1995, and then earned another Master of Business Administration degree online from St. Leo University in 2008

Carroll thus became the first black woman to be a major party candidate for lieutenant governor in Florida's history, and the first black woman on any statewide Republican ticket.
"That was the first time I experienced the conversation regarding race," she said. It wasn't until she graduated from high school and enlisted in the Navy in 1979 as a jet mechanic that she experienced racism firsthand, she said.

"When it really started was when I was appointed as the supervisor in charge of white males," Carroll said. "They felt they should have been in charge rather than me."

She made two unsuccessful bids for the United States House of Representatives in 2000 and in 2002. Following her defeat in the 2000 election, she was appointed as Director of the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs serving in that post until July, 2002. She has been elected successively to the Florida House since winning a special election in April 2003, when she became the first African-American female Republican ever elected to the Florida Legislature.

On September 2, 2010, after winning the Republican primary, Rick Scott named Carroll his running mate in the 2010 Florida gubernatorial election. Carroll thus became the first black woman to be a major party candidate for lieutenant governor in Florida's history, and the first black woman on any statewide Republican ticket.

Shards Of History Draw Blood (Shame, Redemption)

"...Centuries-long slavery obviously disrupted this classic pathway..."

The what?? What pathway? The pathway that MOST Africans were and had long been on included selling each other into slavery, living in mud (and other soft) huts, cannibalism, no written language, no nuclear family[—in short, in NO way were blacks on any "glorious pathway" that approximated what they were introduced to THROUGH slavery.

The slave trade flourished in the Arab World, specifically Western Asia, North Africa, East Africa and certain parts of Europe (such as Iberia and southern Italy) during the period of Arab domination. Those traded were not limited to a certain color, ethnicity, or religion and included Arabs and Berbers, especially in its early days during and the earlier generations after Mohammed.

African Woman
African Woman
During the 8th and 9th centuries of the Islamic Caliphate, most of the slaves were Slavic Eastern Europeans (called Saqaliba). However, slaves were drawn from a wide variety of regions and included Mediterranean peoples, Persians, Turkic peoples, peoples from the Caucasus mountain regions (such as Georgia, Armenia and Circassia) and parts of Central Asia and Scandinavia, English, Dutch and Irish, Berbers from North Africa, and various other peoples of varied origins as well as those of African origins.

Toward the 18th and 19th centuries, the flow of slaves from East Africa increased with the rise of the Oman sultanate which was based in Zanzibar. They came into direct trade conflict and competition with Portuguese and other Europeans along the Swahili coast. The trade was officially abolished in 1970, although it is still going on in Islamic Africa, and through other more selective means by many in Saudia Arabia and immigrants to the West in other forms closer to indentured servitude.

Sad, is it not, that we all to often fail to acknowledge cold facts that are painful but nevertheless, true. We must push forward without heaviness, without blame, and we must stop the excuses and the hand wringing. Reality is only the crucible for future achievement. Neither the past, the present, or the future is likely to give us perfection, but as we seek to build a better world, let us not cloud history and our association to it with imaginary structures. Think about it clearly folks, just when DID this history thang begin? And who enslaved whom first on this evolutionary-go-round?

Tilting at windmills, is how an inspired poet once put it.

White Nationalism?

An interesting comment to an AT article on the history of race inertia from the earliest beginnings of the United States of America caught my attention and will always seek to find adequate articulation, not because of my own consuming interest, but because of how urgent a question it seems to be for so many in the quest for survival who put all their marbles on the race card...

Race is a classification system used to categorize humans into large and distinct populations or groups by heritable phenotypic characteristics, geographic ancestry, physical appearance, and ethnicity, and in some senses is a natural reaction to the other in a world of danger and obfuscation. In the early twentieth century the term was often used, in its taxonomic sense, to denote genetically diverse human populations whose members possessed similar phenotypes, but is it truly the final salvo in sorting out one's identity from that of another when developing hostilities between ethnic groups divided on the basis of racial group or skin color seem unavoidable. All too often the color of one's skin does trump so many other measures of a human being's faith, power, and glory.

girls
Power goes to the prepared and the committed...

WHITE WAS THE 19th century's way of saying "Euro-American in terms of culture, values, and behavior." Henry Ford wrote of "the White Man's Code" as late as 1922 even though he hired Blacks and paid them the same wages he paid Caucasians in the same jobs. No law at the time said he had to do that. At the time, however (e.g. when Kipling wrote "The White Man's Burden,") Japan was the only advanced nonwhite-majority nation on earth. Civilized therefore equaled "white" although it was recognized that not all ethnic Caucasians were advanced or even civilized. A Venn diagram would show "civilized" as a subset of "white" (Japan being the sole exception) and not the other way around.

This does not mean that people of nonwhite origins cannot and do not adopt Euro-American values. Japan made a collective decision to do that in the mid-19th century. African-Americans, Asian Americans, and so on have Euro-American values and are therefore what Kipling and his contemporaries would have called "white." Kipling's "Gunga Din" in fact recognizes that a nonwhite person can have these values and adhere to them better than an Englishman; the light-skinned Briton admits at the end, "You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din." The poem in fact judges the characters not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, which was entirely consistent with Kipling's membership in a racially-diverse Mason's lodge in India (see "The Mother Lodge").

What stinks about the Third World is not the color of its skin (which includes all three races) but rather the content of its character. I refer very specifically to Sharia and other militant "Islamic" beliefs, and Europe ought to prevent their immigration and expel the ones already there.
Furthermore, other non-Caucasian countries are now highly civilized as shown by Freedom House's ratings for places like Taiwan and South Korea, while Caucasian-majority Russia along with the racially Caucasian Palestinians and Iranians (Aryans, in fact) are rated "Not Free." What stinks about the Third World is not the color of its skin (which includes all three races) but rather the content of its character.

The economically and socially advanced nature of Euro-American nations over the rest of the world, even regions with substantial oil wealth, is proof that our way of life is superior and theirs is inferior. A society that, for example, prevents girls from going to school (as is the case in parts of Afghanistan) denies itself half of its human potential up front and will therefore be inferior.

The proper conclusion is therefore that anybody who shares our (Euro-American) values, attitudes, and behavioral codes is "one of us" regardless of his or her appearance or ethnicity, and anybody who subscribes to an inferior Third World culture—the kind that keeps the people ignorant, squalid, and poor—is "one of them" regardless of his or her appearance or ethnicity, and is therefore an undesirable. I refer very specifically to Sharia and other militant "Islamic" beliefs, and Europe ought to prevent their immigration and expel the ones already there.

Our Liberal Racist Media Goes Bust

ObamaCorps
ObamaCorps
Journalists who deliberately go easy on the president are practicing racism.

—T.K.Farrow, Pajamas Media

This week, Newsweek’s Robert Samuelson covers the month-old Pew Research Center study which found that “President Barack Obama has enjoyed substantially more positive media coverage than either Bill Clinton or George W. Bush during their first months in the White House.”

The study—which examined over 1200 stories by the Washington Post, the New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, NewsHour, and Newsweek—found more than 40 percent favorable coverage for Obama, compared to Bush’s 22 percent and Clinton’s 27. More significant than the percentage gap itself is the conclusion Samuelson reaches:

"But the deeper explanation may be as straightforward as this: most journalists like Obama; they admire his command of language; he’s a relief after Bush; they agree with his agenda (so it never occurs to them to question basic premises); and they don’t want to see the first African-American president fail."

If Samuelson is correct, then the mainstream media is racist. And like most liberal racists, they don’t even know it.

No liberal media member wants to be branded a dissident of Obama, much less be accused of dissenting for racial reasons. So even the liberal reporters who don’t think Obama needs the help of the media have justifiable fear of being considered a hindrance to his agenda. And race, of course, is at the center of that fear.
In the late 1990s, author Jim Sleeper wrote a book titled Liberal Racism, which presented the ways in which the effort of many Caucasian liberals to close the historical racial divide and eliminate related inequities has gone horribly wrong. Sleeper writes:
It was Congressman Major Owens, a black representative from New York City, who in 1981 first told me and other members of a small audience of liberal activists and journalists that “liberals are sometimes the worst racists.”

There are many African-Americans—including this writer—who would instantly agree with the former congressman. White liberals might be surprised at how frequently his observation is a topic of conversation among the “victims” that liberals wish to lift out of oppression.

Mr. Sleeper continues:

Only gradually did I realize that liberal racism has several dimensions. Sometimes, prompted by misdirected and self-congratulatory compassion, liberal racism patronizes nonwhites by expecting (and getting) less of them than they are fully capable of achieving. … Liberal racism ends up perpetuating double standards by setting the bar so much lower for its intended beneficiaries that it denies them the satisfactions of equal accomplishment and opportunity.

No kidding! You think?

If Samuelson is right, then the media lowers the bar for Obama by consciously deciding to provide less critical analysis of his policies and performance. Under those circumstances, any presidential achievement is suspect because it’s shrouded in media assistance, rather than merely media coverage.

It also means the results of any disastrous Obama policy that manages to pass muster in the court of public opinion can be laid at the feet of those who are supposed to be the watchdogs of our democracy.

As a president suspiciously fond of holding two oppositional positions at the same time, I suppose it’s a no brainer to conclude that when Candidate Obama said, “They’re going to try to scare you because I don’t look like all those other guys on the dollar bills,” apparently he was referring to his own rather scary administration.
To be fair, there must be some media professionals who would never want to be an accessory to disastrous policy such as cap-and-trade or single-payer, government-run health care. But these very same liberal media members may still be unable to write critical stories about Barack Obama or his policies, even if they don’t bear the “liberal racism” belief that the black president can’t possibly accomplish his ambitious agenda without the help of the newsroom. For that group of journalists, fear is the explanation for their absence of critical thought.

Candidate Obama’s campaign staff repeatedly showed they were not above branding Obama’s critics—see the repeated complaints by former President Clinton at having been so branded—and the candidate himself used race when he believed it to be beneficial: “They’re going to try to scare you because I don’t look like all those other guys on the dollar bills.”

Some of the president’s ardent supporters participated as well, such as Janeane Garofalo with her response to the tea parties. And we’ve also seen liberal media members attack one another when one dares to disagree with an Obama policy. Although not related to race, Jon Stewart’s reaction to Jim Cramer’s criticism of economic policy was scathing.

No liberal media member wants to be branded a dissident of Obama, much less be accused of dissenting for racial reasons. So even the liberal reporters who don’t think Obama needs the help of the media have justifiable fear of being considered a hindrance to his agenda. And race, of course, is at the center of that fear.

Who said election of the first black president would make race less relevant in America? Whoever it was needs to think again.

The previous opinion was written by T.K.Farrow for Pajamas Media. We, at the Two-Fisted Quorum, completely agree with the author's honest assessment. Viewing folks as equals, in the flow of circumstances is the only way out of the maze. But be careful how you parse these simple but double-edged words. Egalitarianism is not patronizing, smug, condescending, or passed along on a piece of paper. Nor is it achieved by branding.

As a president suspiciously fond of holding two oppositional positions at the same time, I suppose it's a no brainer to conclude that when Candidate Obama said, “They’re going to try to scare you because I don’t look like all those other guys on the dollar bills,” apparently he was referring to his own rather scary administration.

Detroit And The Last American Value

Detroit
Detroit, Motor City, has seen better days...

JUST IN CASE you haven't been paying close attention to the news of the day, Detroit City, long on the frail side, is failing and failing fast. The key questions are centered, or at least, should center on the reasons of why the American automobile industry, once the paragon of manly strength echoing the pervasiveness of ingenuity, hard work, and the American Way, is failing. Even if you are sympathetic to this latest charade of tycoon muskateers looking for a bailout for their own house of cards, and want to believe in your hearts of hearts that everything is on the up and up—guess what—these empty suits are just there to collect a king's ransom, and even admit before Congress they have no clue how to turns things around.

Detroit's woes are not new. The irascible Pat Buchanan, in his latest column, has sounded a litany of reasons why this once proud industrial model has slammed into these hardest of times, placing the blame on the government and the unions. Or as another irascible character named Pogo once remarked, "We have met the enemy, and the enemy is us."

Nothing really new here, but the article is worth a glance, just in case you haven't been paying attention. And here is a poignant if somewhat ideologically unsympathetic comment by one of Buchanan's readers:

Our problems are...

1. In winning WWII, we inadvertently (most of us, not FDR and his cronies) made the world safe for communism, so part of the resistance to commie expansion included opening our markets to foreign imports. We don't need an export-driven economy, but have to reestablish trade balance.
2. As Pat points out, we won WWII in large part because we could build the weapons and vehicles to destroy the enemy. Not only our external enemies and rivals, but also the leftists who are our internal enemies, have been working to destroy that advantage ever since.
3. Our tax system is utterly unprepared for the degree of foreign participation and ownership of our economy, and much of the income arising from what we consume is now no longer taxable by the U.S.
4. The U.S. dollar is currently the world's reserve currency, in part because probably no country makes it easier for foreigners to own real estate and businesses, and the tax system lets them do it on a largely tax-free basis. We need to domesticate our dollar and establish a barter at the border, goods for goods trade system, that no goods can come into the U.S. without being paid for right then and there at the border by goods going out of the U.S. That would enforce trade balance.

I keep reading about this border barter solution. What a logistical nightmare for the boys down on the docks. But then, that's what heads up business communication and moral leadership is supposed to be all about, not a culture weaned on astonishing golf courses where everybody knows your name and overwrought golden parachutes and getaway private jets around every turn for these self-serving song and dance resumè-builders and corporate thieves who do little but handsomely enrich themselves while grappling for the next rung on the ladder, while the very businesses they were hired to run falter, or fail.

But things are never that simple. American cars aren't the problem, the business model is. Robotics in Detroit has greatly reduced the toil of the average line worker who now makes over $70/hr including benefits. The car companies have gone as far as they can in reducing labor costs but have more people on retirement than in production. Toyota and all other foreign companies now producing in the US have 1/2 the labor costs and do not have to contend with the many years of retirement and health cost benefits.

I'd like to add that while it seems outrageous that the rank and file have nice comfy retirements as Detroit suffers, shall we not point out that so do the executives, who by the way, have lived a lifetime in excess privilege while it was they who mapped out the corporate plans with all their papers and pie charts, jetting around to meetings and rounds of golf, living high on the hog in mansions. The fact that the future in the car business did not turn out exactly as they planned was THEIR failure in doing their own cushy executive job. But now they want the workers on the line who popped and welded and bolted and polished and shipped the cars to market, doing their jobs on the clock, now, years later, to take the big hit. Somebody should throw those number crunchers to the Lions...

Read it all.
