The Price of Compromise "Some cultures do not compromise. Take the example of Islam. Islam is now culture, now religion, now political system and now race. It can be anything, depending on the situation. However, Islam cannot change. You cannot water it down, reform it or modernize it.
The Qu'ran is emphatic that Islam is perfect (Q: 5:3). No Muslim will tolerate reforming his religion that was perfected by God. Consequently, the only culture that will have to give in to the point of extinction will be the Western culture."
The Wages of Influence "One facet of this sad disagreement, criticism, and rejection, of each other's religious beliefs, all of them, in the discourse that is not going so well, is to pray for the ancestors in the spirit world, that preceded the domination of their posterity who came under false ideology, of a bellicose, combative nature. The spirit world does not organize under falsehood forever. There used to be compartments of Presbyterianism, Methodism, etc, etc. but one of the tasks of the man born without blood ties to Satan is to open up the spirit world. People do not realize this, but pretty near all the people who have died are still influencing the world because of their selfishness. Even the relatively small segment of spirit world which claims a transcendent value perspective. Therefore Jesus went into the spirit world, and opened up the realm in which his antecedents pioneered. Prayer is one front on the unified front against false idols. Deep patient prayer. Not 20 minute prayers. We should appeal to the people that lived in the Middle East and Indonesia, that once existed, in regions, previously not dominated by Islam, as if they exist now, because they do, and their religion results in poverty, and eternal war, this prayer, can cause them to influence their dependents to gradually come more into line with the central theme of God's Providence. The spirit world with its many expressions of selfishness, compels people to be selfish, and to live in iniquity, and misfortune. God is interested in people's well being, if He was not there would be no reason to pursue Him. This is for people that are so inclined to prayer, but it must be coupled with what expands the body of Christ."
The polarized debate over full-face veils in Great Britain is turning ugly. "This could be the trigger for the grim spiral that produced riots in the north of England five years ago," says Trevor Phillips, head of the Commission For Racial Equality in the UK.
Jack Straw, Leader of the House of Commons, recently sparked a media debate by saying he preferred women not to wear full-face veils at meetings in his constituency because he believed they made communication difficult.
After years of western leaders bending to Muslim demands, British leaders are daring to suggest theat the polarised situation over race and religion is riskeing a repeat of the Burnley and Oldham riots, adding: "We saw it in France last year where the French allowed north African communities to grow up completely separately, not feeling French."
"Eventually that frustration, that exclusion boiled over into the kind of car burning we saw last yearI do not want that for Britain."
Of course, any Muslim response is typically self-serving and one-sided. Massoud Shadjareh, from the lobby group the Islamic Human Rights Commission, told the BBC that "ministers after ministers after ministers" had been attacking the Muslim community recently, which was unfair and "not a means of respectable dialogue".
"I have to say the Muslim community really has been extremely calm, and extremely responsible," he said. Muslim Council of Britain secretary general Muhammad Abdul Bari said the integration debate had become "increasingly shrill and ugly", accusing Phillips of having a "poor track record" on this issue and criticised him for not mentioning recent attacks against Muslims which "accompanied this so-called debate".
Muslim Council of Britain secretary general Muhammad Abdul Bari said: "We have seen veils being forcefully pulled off Muslim women and Muslim individuals, including an imam in Glasgow, badly beaten up by thugs.
Reality check. Unfamiliar customs do make people uncomfortable. People of all tribes and tribulations. So Muslim women who live in Europe should strongly consider the consequences of wearing the veil before they pick up and tear across the globe seeking asylum. There seems to be a groundswell of well-intentioned folks who are sick of this acquiescent multicultural crap at the cost of all common sense.
Melanie Phillips, in her book, "Londonstan: How Britain Is Creating A Terror State Within" is not shy in assailing the damage multiculturalism and uncontrolled immigration has done to England and its once proud institutions, now paralysed by political correctness and the fear of being labelled racist and xenephobic.
If one is to survive in a modern society then one must expect to to make accomodations to it just as those of us who live in modern societies make accomodations to backward, sexist, pre-industrial conventions when we travel. No one is forcing these women to dress like Madonna the Material Girl, but it is not unreasonable to expect people to be recognizable on the street, in the courts, and on pieces of identification like a driver’s license.
But over and over again, we are told how "uncomfortable" certain immigrants with a certain religious purity feel when encountered with the strange stares they receive. We are not talking about violent attacks here. Nothing of that sort should be tolerated, on either side of any divide. But time and time again, in one European country after another, it is the Muslims who are demanding peculiar accommodations and psychological crutches, while also committing the most atrocious crimes against host nation citizenry and getting away with it while natives are prosecuted with impunity for the so-called "hurt" feelings of an Islamic passive aggressive. This is called extortion. Here's an example:
A Muslim teaching assistant who sparked a political storm after she refused to remove her veil during lessons, has won her employment tribunal case for victimization against the school which suspended her but lost her claims for discrimination and harassment. Ms Azmi was awarded £1,000 for "injury to feelings" after she succeeded in her claim of victimization. But her claims of direct and indirect discrimination, and her claim of harassment, were dismissed.
Let's review: when one moves to a new culture, guess what? You should expect to feel uncomfortable once in a while. HellI feel uncomfortable in too damn many places right here in America. Should I have the right to riot or sue the britches off the social stratum that makes me feel isolated, inferior, or downright scared?
And how about all these Western visitors to Muslim countries forced to take to scarf, et cetera.
If these Muslim women and their husbands and religious leaders find the idea of leaving one's face uncovered in public and during conversation unthinkable then they should be escorted to a part of the world where a gal can get back to basics and throw a burkha over herself and enjoy regular public beatings when she exposes an ankle.
If one is to survive in a modern society then one must expect to to make accomodations to it just as those of us who live in modern societies make accomodations to backward, sexist, pre-industrial conventions when we travel. No one is forcing these women to dress like Madonna the Material Girl, but it is not unreasonable to expect people to be recognizable on the street, in the courts, and on pieces of identification like a driver's license.
That's the least one can do, or else we might ALL be facing this very soon with grave consequences.
As one wit put it, "There are perfectly reasonable, modern ways for a woman who wants to make a display of her piety to cover herself, but when it comes to completely blocking but for a narrow slit the loveliness that is woman, there are a million places on this planet where this behavior is welcomed and most of them are served by non-stop daily flights. By all means, get on one, now. And the kicker. Covering one's whole body with a burqa or one's face with a veil is not even mentioned in the Qur'an, but is an extreme version of an indoctrinated and ruthlessly enforced modesty. That uncomfortable black (usually) stretch of cloth is a social weapon and a psychological result of a misogynous culture notoriously called Islam, The Religion of Submission.

WASHINGTON, DCDATELINE OCTOBER 27, 2003. Forging an identity in these uncertain times is not an easy task for someone who has prided himself on his independence, first and foremost, from most of the reckoning powers pursuing his support or demise, whichever comes first. As a result of this hesitancy, the Scenewash Project has little to promote but is simply a slowly developing critical work-in-progress concerned foremost with identifying in fresh terms the strategic forces now influencing the corrosive state of American politics, its public policies, both foreign and domestic, and in postulating, after careful consideration of the formidable body of evidence, a compelling worldview better suited to these uncertain times which try humanity's collective soul, contaminate our air, corrupt our speech, implode our habits, regale our future, and break our very wills to contribute to a sane and friendly but progressive and fearless community.
We have considered this task a worthy occupation to the end of our lives, if need be, because we believe that the original promises of these United States of America still beckon, and that the American political experiment, despite its follies and excesses which certainly require checking, is superior to any the world has yet seen. We will not prepare for a collapse of the West, just because a few malingering malcontents clamour for world revolution, whether it be from a Marxist, Maoist, or an Islamist perspective, but shall fight these perspectives while calling for a more focussed revitalization of America's own backyard.
Now more clearly understood as a rather ordinary attempt to peel back the layers of a conflicted mental landscape where art and politics beat each other up while few are they the wiser, we will express ourselves in terms of the past and the present, and will not appeal to an uncertain future which fatalists of every tradition, especially those of religion, of politics, and of science, pay homage to and usually broker every prejudice and every pride in vainglorious attempts to thrust the spirit of humanity onto the flaming pyres of god, gold, state, and imperialist superstition.
These dialecticians who worship the binary while faithlessly praising the unitary, operate on misguided principles which presume dialectics is an inclusive exercise of expression rather than the polarizing noise only well-entrenched and sometimes well-meaning fools and their followers, unquestionably trapped in status and nuance, can embrace.
Originally conceived as a wrecking ball to schoolboy aspirations, this site has no choice but to erupt from the silent passages of time and truth by urging a return to those same aspirations, reflecting a growing inversion of the individual artistic urge and its involuntary suppression by the forces of a co-opting culture. This culture is a mythology in which the artist, the politician, the ordinary citizen and varied patrons are forced by necessities of survival to conspire with lessons and insults to separate the vigorous mind from the expansive spirit with shop-worn tautologies and fantasy, eschewing the everyday, the mundane, the merely indifferent, rendering as obsolete the witnesses of this takeover.
A fading youth spent in ceaseless searching, knocking, seeking, and digging only to discover little of lasting value is one whose only inspiration translates an energy dedicated to the enumeration of differences between zero and nothing, self and the other, in recovering value and anti-value based not on a system of indulgences, individually or collectively wrapped, but on an absolute proof that language is mere alphabet dirt and slogans are only wordsuck. Languages run amuck become dangerous constructs perhaps of better service when fashioned into ploughshares of silence than into callous weapons of feathering alienation and mass confusion. Unless followed by actions appropriate to productive language, language has become nothing more than a functionary of aesthetics, and its practitioner, a co-opted pretender.
To that end, we offer few strategies or discernable guideposts to the currently self-enchanted. We have no use for those satisfied warriors of the establishment, those who wear the stripes of our enemies, smile the crooked smile, and walk the crooked mile beautifully camouflaged behind the mysteries of selfishness. We shall show how they also have no use for us. With a multitude of theories calling for bombs and abortion, no one is safe in this calculating world. Of course, wethe radical centrists refuse to be pigeonholed, not by the haranguing extremists nor by the denizens and addicts of apathy. If we are a hybrid breed of political creature, so be it.
We, however, boast of a singular aim. To articulate a well-considered argument describing what we believe to be the only hope for America and the world, and that hope, in a phrase, is progressive centrism. The center is nearly always dismissed by the polarizing POWERS OF ENTRENCHMENT as mushy or wishy washy, unable to make up its minds. We however, believe that it is these polarizing powers of the Left and the Right, who fight false wars on false battlegrounds, who make well-choreographed concessions in lucrative soundbytes and photo op activities merely for appearances sake who have truly betrayed this country, and this planet.
In the United States with its two party system, the aggragate lobbies and special interests attest plainly to this phenomenon of hypocrisy which disrepects and excludes (while still clamouring for its vote) the progressive centrist.
The byword is moderation in all things but truth. Extremism is killing us all. Polarization is the sword that fertilizes the fields of plenty with the blood of innocence, and rots the crops of destiny. Our manifesto is not the place for specific criticism, but the Scenewash Project web site will by the best laid plans of mice and men, embrace this dialectical mission. The Left and the Right must be reeled in.
The greed of the right and the stupidity of the left have rendered the vast majority of us useless, oppressed by the perfumed stench of their theories and their actions. The salt of the earth purifies and preserves. Where do we begin this purification process? Who will be our leaders? Is it possible that a renewed sensibility can arise from the falsifying political landscape now pulled taut like a rubber band by the existing powers that be? We don't know, but we insist on trying.
We are reminded of this metaphor. Jesus of Nazareth was walking along the road to anywhere. The mother of two of his disciples who were brothers, rushed up and voiced her desire that he grant her wish that one of them sit on their master's left hand (wing) and the other to sit on his right. The Nazarene's reply was simple and to the point: "You don't know what you are talking about. He went on to describe that the rulers of the heathen exhibit hierarchies of the strong who oppress the little ones, but it must not be so among them, the chosen. I add a footnote. Among the common folk there is a general consensus that politics is the mother of all harlots. Thus, I derive my notion of the "progressive centrist" as originating with this tale.
There must be a better way to fix what ails us than rupturing the rubber band while trying to maintain the status quo or sending the globe into unfathomable chaos as many on the far left and far right would advocate, each according to their own specific madness.
In another of the synoptics, the story is retold without the mother's presence, but it is the brothers themselves who approach their teacher with this request for special position and honors. The remainder of the incident is identical to the other.
It is clear. The Left and the Right each boast a portion of the TRUTH, which can be likened to a rubber band that has no beginning and no end. The progressive centrist inhabits the area within the circle created by the band itself, open and free space loosely formed and with equal access to the truth which lies along the circumference of the band. Both parties in the extreme meanwhile haplessly mark battle lines shouting war cries and stretch the band of truth as far as they can by pulling it deep and taut into their own camps, tightening and oppressing the more central and observable truths and those populations which dwell inside the once freely-circulating circle.
Once the tightened rubber band has been pulled to its extreme limit and has been popped, truth no longer exists in its most perfect sense with no beginning and no end, of equal benefit to all, but becomes the ultimate weapon of deception, far worse than the chartable deceptions of the band-tightening oppositional parties in their constrained tugs of war. Surely we can recognize the political landscape in this metaphor.
There must be a better way to fix what ails us than rupturing the rubber band while trying to maintain the status quo or sending the globe into unfathomable chaos as many on the far left and far right would advocate, each according to their own specific madness. So while we recall that the life and works of Thomas Paine are a good place to begin analyzing the difference between zero and nothing, the left and the right, extremism and moderation, life and death, we acknowledge that we do not live in his time, and therefore, must invent new methods to render equality, peace and plenty equitably upon the earth.
What say ye?
So, there is much work ahead of us, and we promise only this:
To experiment with the strident advances of web technology and design, deploying each to an oddball degree, while avoiding the genuflection of a generic stylism which furnishes the cynic with a strategic mouthful of pleasure while leaving us sad and purposeless. We will commit to compiling a point and counterpoint latticework mapping the existing political schematic as we find it. We shall then parse, and emerge with what we consider to be the radical centrist position along this latticework.
To furnish enough raw material to keep us busy through the thick years of our recorded visitation. To live the literary life along the bold, new terms of hypertextual reality, scratching out both an artistic body of visual work to match the music in our heads, keeping our eyes on our own pages and thus working to defeat the demons of boredom that envy and indifference can frequently induce and inadequately generalize while keeping free from the entanglements of frenzy the world mandates with its emphasis on competition and so-called originality. To work the gravitational pull of our own simple orbit, one field of inertia at a time...
Couldn't sleep that night as a result. Stupidity it is said, repays in spades, and I'd been dealt a natural straight. Fact is, I'll never have an accurate toll of how much data I'd vaporized with an empty glance and a quick click, but present hubris aside, I will with the requisite grit and gusto one bright day begin to reconstruct the puzzle in some newer, fresher, more vital form, so help me God.
Now if I can just find those rather bizarre but thorough essays which postulated that the infamous manna Old Bearded Yahweh bestowed upon the desert-wandering Israelites was actually the same mushy stuff my own spooky generation knows affectionately as 'shrooms'to include in the sobriety and theological sections of the SWORG, the work of one artist's lifetime.
Given my competitive stupidity, surely there's nothing more exhausting than reconstructing my life as a picnic ant...
A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO former Republican Party VP candidate, Sarah Palin, is a recent YouTube sensation. The video went viral Monday, burning up Twitter and popping up on various news and entertainment websites.
The tribute song is set to the tune of the famous Civil War-era 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.' According to credits posted on YouTube, the song was written by Tom Dempsey and sung by Gary Mcvay.
The song is an anthem to Sarah Palin in particular, and the Tea Party in general, although the song is not officially affiliated with Gov. Palin nor her organization in any way.
Sarah Palin's Hymn of the Republic Lyrics:
She’s a cold blast from Alaska,
Ingrained with common sense.
She’s not a Harvard lawyer,
but she knew what the Founders meant.
A cold blast from the North,
That freezes Congress in their tracks.
With God and the Tea party, she’s gonna take it back.
Sarah Palin, she won’t listen to their bunk.
Sarah Palin’s coming south to hunt some skunk.
Sarah Palin, she’ll throw them all in jail.
And when she gets to Washington, it’ll be cold as hell.
Sarah has the wisdom to walk through an open door.
She’s stomping out the wretches where the evil lies in store.
She will scrub the floors and sweep the riff-raff into cracks.
Congress pats themselves from some new bill they just passed.
I watch as my freedom slowly runs through an hourglass.
They think they spend our money better than we do.
But they can talk until they’re blue and old.
Cos if they ever gave us anything,
They always wanted something in return, Sarah knows.
Sarah's marching on on.
“I’d like to dedicate that to the Tea Party and all the patriots.”
"I will lay down a marker right awayfor me, the main criterion for supporting a Presidential candidate is that he or she knows what the left is; anyone who thinks that a Republican president will be able to settle into the White House in 2013, put on the green eyeshades, and start balancing the budget in a sober, bipartisan manner is criminally naïve, and I don’t want anyone like that anywhere near the Presidency."
Normal America and free America are at war with the Left, and anyone one who is not ready to fire back when fired at need not apply. Sarah Palin seems to know what the Left is, and none of her potential contenders seems to have a clue. At this moment, the ability to create and run a political and economic media empire is more pertinent to presidential aspirations than the ability to balance a budget with your bare hands, which you can hire someone to do anyway.
But leaving that aside, Palin, and the Palin phenomenon are intrinsically interesting—there seems to be widespread agreement on that, at any rate. She, in her public persona, seems to me an almost perfect complement to Barack Obama, and the Obama phenomenon—she seems destined to be his nemesis, a role she seems to relish and which she plays very well. I think an Obama v. Palin race in 2012 would dramatize all the post-Bush, indeed, all the post-9/11 conflicts; even more, it would finally bring the entire Progressive Era in our politics, dating back to the turn of the 20th century, on the stage—and I think this would be both very healthy and incredibly exciting. We desperately need such a polarization now, and it would be nice to deal a blow to the illusions of the “fiscally conservative, socially liberal center” of the country. I don’t doubt that there are many Americans, maybe, depending upon definitions, a majority, who can be described as “fiscally conservative, socially liberal”; nor do I doubt that in a certain sense they are the “center,” picking and suturing together the least antagonistic items of both right and left.
It’s an empty center, though, and a campaign that showed as much by forcing the “centrists” to choose would be healthy as well—if you support the kind of judicially driven federal government needed to push through and sustain the “socially liberal” agenda, than you can forget about fiscal conservatism. Fiscal conservatism would mean federalism and expanded property rights, both of which, as the politically savvy know, mean death to “social liberalism,” i.e., abortion on demand, gay marriage and religion out of the public sphere. And I might as well also say that I can’t say the word “gravitas” without, at the very least, smiling. I think that things are going to get rough, especially if the prerogatives of those plugged into the victimary public arena are even mentioned, much less trespassed upon—we need someone whose first instinct isn’t to placate the New York Times.
We are fortunate to be able to peel back the layers of time to find that dual juggernauts Winston Churchill and George Orwell summed up so-called intellectuals so succinctly, how they are a weakening force because firstly everyone assumes what they say is right because they've got a reputation as intellectuals, even when they're wrong, and that believing these intellectuals can have such dire consequences. He said it about Britain but it could so easily be any Western country today. Here's what Winston Churchill said about them 78 years ago:
"Historians have noticed, all down the centuries, one peculiarity of the English people, which has cost them dear. We have always thrown away after a victory the greater part of the advantages we had gained in the struggle. The worst difficulties from which we suffer do not come from without. They come from within. They do not come from the cottages of the wage earners; they come from a peculiar type of brainy people, always found in our country, who, if they add something to its culture, take much from its strength. Our difficulties come from the mood of unwarrantable self-abasement, into which we have been cast, by a powerful section of our own intellectuals. They come from the acceptance of defeatist doctrines by a large proportion of our politicians. But what have they to offer, but a vague internationalism, a squalid materialism, and the promise of impossible utopias? Nothing can save England if she will not save herself. If we lose faith in ourselves, in our capacity to guide and govern, if we lose our will to live, then indeed our story is told." – Winston Churchill, 1933
Of course, words being words, and the bird's the word, George Orwell, Dwight D Eisenhower and Albert Camus summed up the so-called intellectual elite, a group of talkers and writers who often mistake their years of practice and subsequent compensation for a certain collegial profundity of thought whenever they open their mouths or commit their pens and keyboards with these jostling texts:
You must be an intellectual. Only an intellectual could say something so stupid. George Orwell
An intellectual is someone whose mind watches itself. Albert Camus
I heard a definition of an intellectual, that I thought was very interesting: a man who takes more words than are necessary to tell more than he knows. Dwight D. Eisenhower
And now we turn our attention back to that lovely army of misogynists who are being invited as immigrants into this country by the hordes. Of course, as many on the Left would add, "Not that there is anything wrong with that. After all, these people just want to serve their god, convert, enslave, or annihilate everyone else on the planet in service to that god, and isn't that so cute in these troubled times."
So here is a rather courteous Muslim prayer offer by a frequent commenter on Jihad Watcha premier Web site for ongoing information about the global jihad soldiering on right now under the noses of everyone else who are far too busy with other erstwhile famous and frivolous affairs, including those of us who reject Mohammed and his barbaric totalitarian system of religion-cloaked oppression, as well as those who remain completely clueless to the threat, those who refuse to connect the goddamned dots despite the deluge of news seeping out from all corners of the globe, which is frequently ignored by our bankrupt laeders and media who dance to the cha ching of petromasters and such.
Here is the prayer to infidels offered up by a poster named Yemenman:
To you, here’s my prayer. No, I’m not praying for your death or destruction or disease. I am praying for something more, something that’ll gnaw your inside little by little until your death. Here goes: May you, haters of Islam...
See your daughter Your young, innocent, light-skinned, beautiful daughter Get the light and come into Islaam And marry among the ranks of the Believers
A Hispanic convert just out of prison Or, a hairy Pakistani from the mountains Or, a huge black man from the African continent Or, a big, wealthy, jovial Arab Sheikh (as his third or fourth wife)
And may your daughter give her full love, obedience, and submission to her husband And bear him many children And treat you as you deserve to be treated May all of these be true in your lifetime Ameen.
Allah the Greatest!
But wait! The blessings of free speech haven't ended there. Here is one response to that "wonderful" Islamic prayer:
May Islamic women leave Islam and marry real caring and loving infidel men who do not subjugate or threaten them, and may they live in peace in the world. May they bear many children with Infidels who will join to crush the death cult Islam and may they help to bring about real lasting peace on earth. God bless America and and all Infidels.
And another in response to the Muslim poster:
And let me add, you are sick in the head. Your rotten, monstrous, belief system is the reason. Your "prayer" alone shows how in league with Satan (Allah) you are. You are to be pitied, but you also MUST BE STOPPED.
May you, disciples of Muhammad, See your daughters master productive skills And rather than wear a bag Marry into the ranks of the Jews and Christians
To men who know the meaning of self-restraint And possess the strength to resist The temptations of strange women Whose elbows and neck are exposed.
May your daughters give them full love and equal partnership, Bear them many children and raise them To submit to no one who pretends To rule in the name of God Amen.
Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis
Yes, you lovely renegades, the conflict is real. This is just idiocy, and has nothing to do with the concerns we have here about Islam. Now which side are you on?
To quote another patriot who calls himself Revere Rides Again, I've been fretting for months about being too hawkish, but it's now impossible to dodge the fact that the longer this is delayed the worse it will be. I mean that literally. All it will take is for Iran to either attack or respond to an Israili attack by taking out the Saudi oil supply and the economic balloon goes up as well.
My main concern is Iran because of all the reasons touched on by MR in the preivous postand because they are the most overtly irrational players in a cast of wild-eyed lunatics. Their motives are so extreme and bizarre that they defy proper analysis even by some who recognize the danger in other Islamists. And while Pakistan is still in the race at this point my money is on Iran to light the fuse.
If we take Yemenman and other Islamists at their own words, then Jihad can be compared to a force of nature impervious to reason. But it is neither a tsunami nor a volcano in which the only course of action is to get out of the way until it subsides, nor is it a blizzard or hurricane which can be predicted, prepared for, and endured. It is rather a conflagration, a firestorm that must be fought, stopped from advancing, and extinguishedor it will continue to spread until it engulfs the world.
THERE WE HAVE IT. The end of an era. A turn of the page. A so-called post-racial but racially-charged election is now in the books. And the winner and 44th President of the United States of America is the junior Senator from the Great State of IllinoisBarack Obama. We, at The Two-fisted Quorum, offer no apologies for owning our votes, and casting them for the opposition, but now that the Democratic ticket has won this historic election, it is time to move on past the ugly tactics this election process on both sides of the aisle could never transcend. It is time to act like grown-up Americans, always on the watch, but never the sore loser...
This will be a tough cycle. Our enemies who will still insist on hurting us as Americans, and our enemies who will still resist this election are surely lurking amongst us and within us. Let us join our neighbors in praying that President Obama be granted the courage to accept the things he cannot change, change the things he can, and be granted the wisdom to know the difference.
And let us all echo the sentiments expressed by John McCain in his concession speech last night in Phoenix.
May we be inspired to find that all of our fears and anxieties of a radical leftistsmug, thug, and snug in the pockets of corporate interestssitting in the White House were misguided and nothing but ephemeral mists now evaporated with the pulsing warmth of the sun because here is a new kind of national leader who truly does love America and ALL its people...
I even read today that he is bringing back all the manufacturing jobs our corporations so cavalierly sent away. Rebuilding American industry so that we don't depend on steel and other integral products from our enemies has been a major issue for The Two-fisted Quorum.
