Fit In Or Fly Out

stuart-varney

Stuart Varney

BRITISH EXPATRIATE AND AMERICAN citizen Stuart Varney, a financial commentator on Fox News noted on one of their Saturday morning programs that Britain is beginning to “push back” at Muslims. Stating that he sensed a change in the British demeanor toward Muslims on the heels of the current veil controversy, Varney suggested a new tone was emerging, indicating “no more bending over backwards, no more appeasement.” He also stated that a British politician had recently told him “it’s either fit in or fly out”.

Now that’s all the news fit to print!

(Originally published here on October 24, 2006, and now residing in the archives ready for our WordPress reposting engine. And not to be overlooked, obviously our cause for enthusiasm with regard to British sovereignty pushing back at the Islamic invaders was mere flirtation, and unfortunately for many British neighborhoods, some six sharia-creeping years later—gravely exaggerated.)

Climate Scientists Caught Fudging Again

WELL, THERE YOU GO AGAIN, AL. Another spring of ferocious floods and a follow-up summer as hot as Hades in the good ole USA, and the festering wound of remaining global warmers have convinced themselves again that the ecological end is near, and a few last ditch efforts at a final solution are required to move their Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test bus forward.

Former Democrat Senator Tim Wirth, now heading up a lovely little left-wing operation started by Ted Turner called the UN Foundation, said, “The flooding and forest fires in the United States this year are evidence of ‘the kind of dramatic climate impact’ climate change models have predicted.” Now, I suppose that would be pretty compelling if it weren’t for the fact that those climate change models have been designed to predict any conceivable weather eventuality, thus producing a circular, self-validating illogic that only numbskulls and the petulantly dishonest would tout.

In other words, Tim, when your climate change models predict floods and droughts, aggressive hurricane outbreaks and no hurricanes, tornadic winds and breezeless calm, mild to hot summers and mild to cold winters, you have concocted a phony charade where you can claim you were right regardless of what occurs. That isn’t science. It’s snake oil. And it’s one of the major reasons why the global warming movement has become such a joke.

Then there is the problem of fudging the data to slant not the real potential for catyclism but merely the reportage of said potential. It is becoming increasingly known that manipulating data to support a political end is a favorite pastime of the Warmers.

The most recent example of this unseemly habit surfaced when the University of Colorado’s Sea Level Research Group was caught adding 0.3 millimeters of height to its sea level calculations every year. When called on this flagrant abuse of the data, Steve Nerem (the group’s director) explained that they pad the numbers because “land masses, still rebounding from the ice age, are rising and increasing the amount of water that oceans can hold.”

Think about that for a few seconds, then read the entire article here.

Geert Wilders: Unmasking Muhammad

Geert Wilders

Geert Wilders fiddles with headphone…

English translation of an op-ed piece that Geert Wilders published today in a Dutch magazine [see below].

TO MORE FULLY UNDERSTAND WHY ISLAM is a mortal danger one must not only consider the Qu’ran, the Hadiths, and the Sunnah but also the character of Muhammad, who conceived the Qu’ran and the entirety of Islam.

There has been much analysis of Muhammad’s mental sanity. In spite of all the available research, it is rarely mentioned or debated. It is a taboo to discuss the true nature of the man whom one and a half billion Muslims around the world regard as a holy prophet and example to be followed. That taboo must be breached in the West, and here in the Netherlands.

The Qu’ran is not just a book. Muslims believe that Allah himself wrote it and that it was dictated to Muhammad in the original version, the Umm al-Kitab, which is kept on a table in heaven. Consequently one cannot argue with the contents. Who would dare to disagree with what Allah himself has written? This explains much of Muhammadan behaviour, from the violence of jihad to the hatred and persecution of Jews, Christians and other non-Muslims and apostates. What we in the West regard as abnormal, is perfectly normal for Islam.

A second insuperable problem with Islam is the figure of Muhammad. He is not just anyone. He is al-insan al-kamil, the perfect man. To become a Muslim one must pronounce the Shahada (the Muslim creed). By pronouncing the Shahada one testifies that there is no god that can be worshipped except Allah, and one testifies that Muhammad is his servant and messenger.

The Qu’ran, and hence Allah, lays down that Muhammad’s life must be imitated. The consequences of this are horrendous and can be witnessed on a daily basis.

Ali Sina is an Iranian ex-Muslim who established the organisation for apostates of Islam Faith Freedom International. In his latest book he posits that Muhammad is a narcissist, a paedophile, a mass murderer, a terrorist, a misogynist, a lecher, a cult leader, a madman, a rapist, a torturer, an assassin and a looter. Sina has offered 50,000 dollars for the one who can prove otherwise. Nobody has claimed the reward as yet. And no wonder, as the description is based on the Islamic texts themselves, such as the hadiths, the descriptions of Muhammad’s life from testimonies of contemporaries.

The historical Muhammad was the savage leader of a gang of robbers from Medina. Without scruples they looted, raped and murdered. The sources describe orgies of savagery where hundreds of people’s throats were cut, hands and feet chopped off, eyes cut out, entire tribes massacred. An example is the extinction of the jewish Kurayza tribe in Medina in 627. One of those who chopped off their heads was Muhammad. The women and children were sold as slaves. Confronted with the lunacy of Islamic terrorists today, it is not hard to find out where the lunacy comes from.

In Vienna the women’s rights activist Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff was recently sentenced to paying a fine for insulting a religion by calling Muhammad a paedophile. However, that is the truth. Numerous hadiths contain testimonies by Muhammad’s favourite wife, the child wife Aisha. Aisha literally says: “The prophet married me when I was six years old, and had intercourse with me when I was nine.”

According to the historian Theophanes (752-817), Muhammad was an epileptic. Epileptic crises are sometimes accompanied by hallucinations, perspiration from the forehead and foaming at the mouth, the very symptoms which Muhammad displayed during his visions.

A public debate about the true nature and character of Muhammad can provide insight and support to Muslims all over the world who wish to leave Islam.

In his book “The other Muhammad” (1992) the Flemish psychologist Dr. Herman Somers concludes that in his forties the “prophet” began to suffer from acromegaly, a condition caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland, a small organ that is situated just below the brain. When the tumor in the pituitary gland causes too much pressure in the brain, people start to see and hear things that are not there. Somers’s psychopathological diagnosis of Muhammad’s condition is: organic hallucinatory affliction with paranoid characteristics.

The German medical historian Armin Geus speaks of a paranoid hallucinatory schizophrenia. A similar analysis can be found in the book “The Medical Case of Muhammad” by the physician Dede Korkut.

In his book “Psychology of Mohammed: Inside the Brain of a Prophet” Dr. Masud Ansari calls Muhammad “the perfect personification of a psychopath in power.” Muhammad had an unhinged paranoid personality with an inferiority complex and megalomaniac tendencies. In his forties he starts having visions that lead him to believe he has a cosmic mission, and there is no stopping him.

The truth is not always pleasant or politically correct. On the basis of the research referred to above it can be argued that the Islamic creed obliges one and a half billion people around the world, including the one million living in the Netherlands, to take Muhammad as their example. There is no turning back once one has become a Muslim. For even though article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that every person has the right to “change his religion or belief,” in Islam there is a death penalty for leaving the faith.

Anyone who voices criticism of Islam and Muhammad is in grave personal danger—as I have experienced. And whoever attempts to escape from the influence of Islam and Muhammad risks death. We cannot continue to accept this state of affairs. A public debate about the true nature and character of Muhammad can provide insight and support to Muslims all over the world who wish to leave Islam.

Apostates are heroes and more than ever they deserve the support of freedom loving people all over the world. Party politics should not be at play in this matter. It is time for us to help these people by exposing Muhammad.

Geert Wilders is an MP in the Netherlands. He is the Chairman of the Party for Freedom (PVV)

MORE RAGE BY THE RELIGION OF PEACE

A CHURCH IN BELGIUM is on the hot seat now, thanks to a photograph snapped two years ago by a blogger, a photograph of an interesting pulpit in the Church of Our Lady in Dendermonde, Belgium, that suddenly became the center of an uproar when a group Turkish Belgians “discovered” it online, and proceeded to follow the well-worn Islamic path of instant outrage.

The Belgian press has reported that police are now guarding the church to prevent vandalism, but also placed blame for this controversy squarely on the original blogger who placed he photograph on his blog.

Here’s a run-down:

  • Church and pulpit built shortly after the Battle of Vienna
  • Church sits largely unnoticed for centuries, until
  • Tourist stumbles across “interesting” pulpit, takes picture of it, and posts picture to his blog
  • Picture on blog sits idly by, largely unnoticed for 2 years
  • Blogger receives hate mail for daring to post the picture, then posts and ridicules letter (once a blogger, always a…)
  • Photo and a long-winded condemnation are printed in the front page of a radical Turkish newspaper
  • Death threats ensue, leading to
  • Inanimate object protected by police, who
  • Lay the blame for all of this outrage at the foot of our poor tourist.

While it’s precious to observe the Belgian government taking steps to protect this historic church, it is genuinely disgusting to see Europe so hopelessly timid of actually confronting the root of the problem—a complete and utter inability to speak out and bring the long arm of the law against the destructive tendencies of the Religion of the Perpetually Offended.

AARHUS, DENMARK – Kurt Westergaard is in hiding from Islamic militants who want him dead. Now, the Danish cartoonist says he’s ready to part with the source of his travails, a small ink sketch of the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb in his turban. But first there is the ticklish question of price.

“I would like to think that it has some value,” says Mr. Westergaard, the 72-year-old creator of one of the world’s most famous cartoons and one that inflamed Muslims world-wide. “It is a symbol of democracy and freedom of expression. I think I should have a little money for this,” he says.

The drawing is locked in a bank vault while the cartoonist shuttles between temporary havens the Danish secret police have found for him around this blustery port city. His is by far the best known of 12 Muhammad-related cartoons published in September 2005 by Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. But how do you fix the value of something that auction houses won’t touch, that museums won’t hang on their walls and that still inspires murderous passions?

But last November, the danger became real. Denmark’s security service uncovered a group it said had diagrams of Mr. Westergaard’s house and apparently planned to slit his throat as he slept. The service offered to send him and his wife on a Caribbean cruise. He declined. “I’m an old man with a stiff neck. I can’t bow my head to anyone,” he says.

Two weeks ago, Danish authorities said they had foiled a plot to kill Mr. Westergaard in his home. Seventeen Danish newspapers, outraged and eager to show solidarity, reprinted his drawing. Muslims again took to the streets. Iran and others demanded an apology. “I always had a feeling this cartoon crisis would not end,” says Mr. Westergaard. “Now I know.” [...]

Some Muslims here want the bomb-in-a-turban drawing destroyed. Salah Suleiman, an activist in a mosque that helped whip up the fury over it in early 2006, delights in the artist’s troubles and says no amount of money can save him from God’s wrath: “He is living like a rat…. He is living in hell already.”

Ah, the voice of love and piety.

Mr. Westergaard’s wife, a retired kindergarten teacher, has also suggested destruction, by selling the cartoon to a wealthy Arab who “can then burn it in the central square in Mecca.” Mr. Westergaard says he likes the idea of getting money from an oil sheik but would prefer the cartoon stay intact and in Denmark.

Mr. Westergaard says he never intended his drawing to rile Muslims, only to mock extremists who push a deformed reading of their faith. But while arguments rage over whether his cartoon is intolerably offensive or an emblem of free speech, there’s no doubt of the prominence it has achieved. Though shunned by most major U.S. publications, it has been reprinted widely in Europe, plastered across the Internet and put on T-shirts…

Flemming Rose, culture editor of the Danish paper that first ran the cartoon, compares it to a famous photo of Che Guevara in a beret and to Andy Warhol’s pop-art portrait of Marilyn Monroe. “It is a great cultural icon of the 21st century,” he says.

Mr. Lerche, the auctioneer, says it’s “pure guesswork” what Mr. Westergaard’s drawing is worth. A less-famed Muhammad cartoon sold for around $2,900 in an Internet auction, but that was in late 2005, before the global uproar. The artist in that case donated the cash, which came from an anonymous buyer, to earthquake relief in Pakistan.

In an event last year at the Reagan Library in California, Mr. Rose, the Danish culture editor, saw the cartoons’ market value. He autographed posters featuring his newspaper’s original cartoon edition, which sold out in minutes for $1,000 apiece.

Money has played a role on the other side of the barricades, too. When Muslims started burning Danish flags and ransacking Danish property in early 2006, extremists joined in a bidding war to get Mr. Westergaard killed. The bounties they offered ranged from a new car to a million dollars.

The cartoonist continued going to work at his small newspaper office, piled with old papers and empty coffee cups.

Police offered a guard dog. His wife didn’t like the idea….
