Love Thy Enemies

The Late Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran

For the politically-challenged, let's go over this once again. First and foremost, PC'ers seem to assume that the jihadists have hijacked, that's right—hijacked—the Religion of Peace. Blogger Dean Barnett puts us back on track:

"This view of things is dangerously misguided, and dangerously ignorant. The radical Islamic world doesn’t hate us because our TV shows are too racy or our women too provocative. The Islamic world hates us not for what we are but for what we aren’t. Specifically, the haters at issue loathe us because we’re not Muslims."

Here’s how the Ayatollah Khomeini put it:

“Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those who say this are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Kill them, put them to the sword and scatter their armies.”

Islam Awareness: Overkill Or Accurate And Acutely Prudent?

A contributor to Jihad Watch offers this solution to what many see as the growing and intractable problem of worldwide Islamic aggression that Americans need to address this very hour in light of how Europe appears failing its own indigenous populations against rising Muslim instabilities.

Let's be clear. These are dangerous times. The critical question facing all thoughful Americans is not do we DESIRE but rather, do we NEED such draconian laws to play a role in keeping our land free of a highly suspicious ideology. Put another way, does American need to heed these suggestions, frankly, to survive as a culture?

Islam is not going to reform, except in a negative direction. In fact, as has been said elsewhere, an Islamic reformation is currently underway. But this reformation consists of "getting back to basics"; that is, getting closer to the literal text of the Koran and the sayings and doings of Muhammad—in other words, revival of the perpetual war against non-Muslim humanity.

At present, we cannot begin to protect ourselves legally from this onslaught, because religious freedom is protected under the Constitution. That is the crux of the problem, as I see it.

Therefore, we must press for nothing less than an amendment to the US Constitution to the effect:

1. That while the ideology called Islam carries the trappings of religion, and in some foreign countries and locales is considered to be a religion, within the territories of the United States is not recognized as a religion.

And, with the copious oil money at their disposal, the Muslims have deep pockets with which to pursue endless court challenges and outright legal attacks. Even when they ultimately fail to win a particular case, they can create paralysis and drain resources better used in productive endeavors.
2. That Islam is recognized instead as a violent, intolerant, supremacist political ideology totally incompatible with every fundamental tenet of the Constitution, including consent of the governed, equal protection under the law, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of conscience—the entire Bill of Rights.

3. That Islam is recognized, by its own immutable doctrines laid out in the Koran and the way of Muhammad, to be in a perpetual state of war against this Constitution and the people protected thereunder.

4. That no person bearing or advocating this ideology shall be admitted as a permanent citizen or temporary resident of this country or its territories. Those who enter on false pretenses shall be deported without delay.

5. That no person bearing or advocating this ideology shall be permitted to hold public political office in this country or its territories, at any level of goverment.

6. That no person bearing or advocating this ideology shall be permitted to serve in the armed forces, police, immigration, border control, or other security services of this nation.

7. That the President, Congress, and the Courts are required and empowered to resist and confront Islamic encroachment on our freedoms at home and our interests abroad by every means, including force when necessary, consistent with the checks and balances defined in other articles of the Constitution.

Without such an amendment to the Constitution, we will be unable to construct and uphold workable laws to defend ourselves. Any law, regulation, or municipal ordinance, no matter how innocuous, that in any way restricts Muslim sedition will be challenged in court on religious grounds. And, with the copious oil money at their disposal, the Muslims have deep pockets with which to pursue endless court challenges and outright legal attacks. Even when they ultimately fail to win a particular case, they can create paralysis and drain resources better used in productive endeavors.

A Muslim Reformer?

THERE'S NEWS THAT THE RATHER quiet "moderate" Muslims indeed have hope in their future. And imagine this: that hope is coming from France. Former Marseilles Mufti Soheib Bencheikh has announced that "Islam must be criticized, just as Christianity was [criticized] during the Enlightenment." He goes on to say that "Islam is a message for all humanity—therefore it is not the property of Muslims [alone]."

Born in Saudi Arabia in 1961, Dr. Bencheikh believes that French-style secularism is a necessary precondition for the reform of Islam, and he calls on both Muslims and non-Muslims to participate in critiquing Islam, reinterpreting its holy texts, combating fundamentalism, and helping Islam adapt to the modern era.

Believing that Islam—which was founded with an emphasis on tribal society— has become obsolete, Bencheikh points out that the virilent form of political Islam sweeping the globe today is heresy and can be traced back to the 1960s, a time when most of the Muslim countries began modernizing politically and militarily, while retaining a rigid grip on the general population.

Read more. And let's hope that this special voice of reason survives an almost certain fatwa once the Muslim street catches wind of this criticism of their death cult.

Others will still say that reform is not the answer. Reading about Muslims making conciliatory statements may feel encouraging. After all, the Muslim world is not monolithic. Many decent men, women and children live in dar al-Islam and would be fine citizens under non-Islamic forms of governance. Unfortunately, Islam itself will not allow them to flourish.

It's improbable that Islam can undergo anything resembling a Reformation. Islam is inflexible and rigid as a system, has no non-violent and spiritual role model like Jesus of Nazareth at the center of its belief system and is devoid of appeals to higher ethical standards, like the Ten Commandments or the Golden Rule. It lacks reflection, personal responsibility, free will and empathy.

Islam can't be bent into something new.

It's encouraging to hear that some people will openly question the motives and opportunism of the radicalized. But once the chatter starts it is doubtful to stop at a 'kinder, gentler Islam' or 'Islam as a billion points of light'.

Instead, a vigorous backlash could show the Dhimmi West just how serious these "true believers" are about pushing Israel into the sea, ransacking Europe, posting the Islamic flag on the White House lawn, and destroying the infidel wherever he finds them. Islam as it is written in the Koran is more than a religion. It reads clearly as a poliical ideology with a doctrine of Caliphite commanding Muslims to fight to establish a world of Islam controlled by an Islamic capital.

But by all means, let's do try reform before all hell breaks loose.

May God bless us all...

French Fears Grow As Muslim Street Growls

ONGOING "INTIFADA" HAS INJURED 2,500 police in 2006 according to the French press. This might have dropped below the radar, but Al Qaeda and its allies are literally battling the Crusaders every day in Europe. And so far, Europe isn't doing so well.

"We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists," said Michel Thoomis, secretary general of the Action Police trade union. "This is not a question of urban violence any more. It is an intifada, with stones and firebombs."

The French Interior Ministry has acknowledged the Muslim uprising. The ministry said more than 2,500 police officers have been injured in 2006. This amounts to at least 14 officers each day. The battles have been under-reported but alarming to French authorities. Muslim street commanders, who run lucrative drug networks, have organized youngsters in housing projects to ambush police and confront security forces. The response time allows hundreds of Muslims to storm police cars and patrols within minutes.

"You no longer see two or three youths confronting police," Thoomis said. "You see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their comrades free when they are arrested."

France's huge Muslim minority community has come under the influence of agents often influenced and financed by Al Qaida. These agents have recruited Muslim youngsters for urban warfare in which police and government representatives are injured daily.

Not surprisingly, Muslim neighborhoods are becoming autonomous zones, with police and government workers too scared to enter. The police union is demanding the Interior Ministry supply officers with armored cars. European law enforcement sources say France could be a model for other countries. The most worried are Britain and the Netherlands. The truth is seeping out, ever slowly to be sure, but nearly every day new reports from previously brain dead sources are awaking to the fact that those so-called "Asian" youths inciting civil unrest in Europe and everywhere else the Muslim population has a foothold on foreign soil is not a figment of the imagination of a few right-wing nuts. Orwellian to the last tooth, Islam calls itself the religion of peace, but is violently disturbing the peace whenever there is a critical mass, and cries foul claiming to be victims of religious persecution at the slightest nuance in situations where they can not or presently do not dominate.

Elsewhere, Baghdad is said to be quiet at the end of a most bloody Ramadan, as Al Quaeda hints at victory.
