Islam In American Classrooms

Thanks to Brigitte Gabriel for sending us this piece authored by Adrian Morgan: he First Amendment to the US federal constitution was drafted in 1789, and was ratified by the States in 1791. It states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." The interpretation of the First Amendment and in particular its first clause, referred to as the "Establishment of Religion" or...

You, Me, The Infidel Revolution

HEARTY THANKS GOES OUT TO Brigette Gabriel who sent me this from the always astute Jamie Glazov of FrontPageMagazine.com. Frontpage Interview's guest today is Bill Warner, the director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam (CSPI). CSPI's goal is to teach the doctrine of political Islam through its books and it has produced a series on its focus. Mr. Warner did not write the CSPI series, but he acts as the agent for a group of scholars who are the authors. FP: Mr. Warner, welcome back to Frontpage Interview. In our last interview, you did a powerful job...

Boxer Stays The Course

n the last gasp of the recent Boxer-CAIR affair, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and officials from a Muslim advocacy group said Wednesday they have resolved to move forward on improving interfaith relations after smoothing over a skirmish over an honor rescinded by her office. “I’m putting it all behind me, and we’re moving ahead to work with the civil rights community to better relations among people of all faiths,” Boxer said in an interview. But a spokeswoman for the California Democrat said she does not intend to give back the certificate honoring Basim Elkarra, executive director of the Sacramento chapter...

Defeat of Islamic Totalitarianism

Dr. John Lewis of Ashland University is the author of this superb, must-read piece. Below, he kindly offers some clarifications to those who sent him questions after reading it, to Jihad Watch: egarding my article “No Substitute for Victory: The Defeat of Islamic Totalitarianism” in The Objective Standard, readers have brought up several questions that must be confronted. Among them: (1) how can religion and state be separated in Islam, since Islam is a social/political/legal system as much as a religion, and (2) isn't the enemy stateless, i.e., without the centralized political state as controlled Japan? I will address such...

Sane Syllables

y friend Bill from Bunratty says the term "War on Terror" has always frustrated him. He asks with due diligence—are we at war with the Tamil Tigers, the IRA, the Baader-Meinhof Gang, the Red Brigades, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Weathermen, Earth First, et cetera? He answers his own question: No—none of the above—we are at war with Muslim terrorists who are acting in a straightforward manner on the tenets of their ideology. If the term "War with Islam" is too unpalatable for politicians and public figures to utter, perhaps "War with Islam's War on us" would work for them....
