An Old But Good Argument Revisited

constitution_quill_pen
The Constitution of the United States of America
OUR US CONSTITUTION IS THE BEST the world has ever seen, and the oldest one still in use. Still, it is far from perfect. The Anti-federalists pointed out many weaknesses and pushed for the Bill of Rights. Imagine where we would be without the Bill of Rights. Still, if you honestly read the Constitution, and study it well, you will find that the Anti-federalists were right. The Constitution put everything in place for the states to be reduced to mere districts. The Civil War was began as the ultimate rejection of this idea.

Since then, the Federal Goverment has encroached upon not only the states, (14th Amendment; 17th Amendment), but even local government (Civil Rights Acts is the prime example of this). A few specific dangers provided by the Anti-federalists include: 1) No check on federal judicial power; 2) No check on the power of the Federal Government due to the "welfare" clause; 3) Complete and unquestionable (by the states) taxing authority given to the Federal Government.

Many believe that the Constitutional Debate was about states rights, but that's not true. Some delegates argued for elimination of the states altogether. Keep in mind the Federalists won one of America's first PR battles by seizing the title of "Federalist" for themselves and leaving the opposition with "Anti-federalist". At the time the word "confederacy" and "federation" meant exactly the same thing. The Federalists were actually Nationalists and the Anti-federalists were the true Federalists. Whatever party or movement comes out of all this present day crisis, if we are ever given another chance at freedom and self-government, we must address the issues pointed out by the Anti-federalists.

Feingold Challenges Jeffrey Immelt On New Position

Immelt-Obama
GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt and President Barack Obama
We actually applaud this surprising move by former Wisconsin Democratic senator Russ Feingold (recall that Feingold was swept out of office last year in a tsunami of Tea Party expression). Just in case you're keeping score, here's the opening shot in the corporate corruption wing of the Obama School of Economic Whatevers:

Friend,

IT'S EVERYTHING THAT'S WRONG with corporate power today: News broke last week that General Electric, America’s largest corporation, made $14,200,000,000 in profits last year and paid $0 in taxes—that’s right, zero dollars in taxes. At the same time, C.E.O. Jeffrey Immelt saw his compensation double. Now I hear that GE is expected to ask 15,000 of their unionized workers to make major concessions in wages and benefits.

But what really adds insult to injury is the prestigious and influential position Jeffrey Immelt holds as chair of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. That’s wrong. Someone like Immelt, who has helped his company evade taxes on its huge profits—and is now looking to workers to take major pay cuts after his compensation was doubled—should not lead the administration’s effort to create jobs.

We cannot stand by and watch while we are led down this road. Mr. Immelt must step down from the president’s jobs panel—and if he won’t, President Obama needs to ask for his resignation.

Help us build public pressure on GE’s Jeffrey Immelt to step down or President Obama to get his resignation from the jobs council: Sign our petition at www.ImmeltMustGo.com today!

Jeffrey Immelt is a crook and a thief. There are many like him, but for now, we are criticizing this one. He and the president seem to have a lot in common, and appear to be the best of buds.
How can someone like Immelt be given the responsibility of heading a jobs creation task force when his company has been creating more jobs overseas while reducing its American workforce? And under Immelt’s direction, GE spends hundreds of millions of dollars hiring lawyers and lobbyists to evade taxes. All of this at a time when Fox News and the right wing are demonizing public workers, like teachers, as the cause of our economic problems.

It’s time for policymakers to stop coddling corporate interests, and get to work creating jobs and wealth for Main Street. We shouldn’t reward wealthy CEOs and Wall Street for behavior that undermines the nation’s economy.

Be a part of this meaningful fight. Help us tell President Obama that if GE isn’t paying taxes or treating workers well, Immelt Must Go!

President Obama has been talking about how we must “win the future,” and I agree with him in that goal. Jeffrey Immelt is not the person for that job.

Thanks for uniting as a progressive,

Feingold, despite his generally far leftist stance on most issues, this time is right on the mark. Serenedipity. Sort of like when far leftist Dennis Kucinich and libertarian Ron Paul find themselves arguing for the same crucial point in the House. As aggressive constitutionalists, we usually find Mr. Feingold's progressive recipe for success instinctively less than desirable, having no faith in Big Government to look after my own best interests, for richer or poorer, in sickness or in health, but when it comes to the wildly dishonest, greed-gorged antics of corporate raiders who loot the land and its people without conscience, I have no choice but to drop my shoulders just enough to service my own burden and to join the call for immediate corrective measures. We call for simple and plain considerations. This just looks bad.

Jeffrey Immelt is a crook and a thief. There are many like him, but for now, we are criticizing this one. He and the president seem to have a lot in common, and appear to be the best of buds.

This nation, however, struggling against a global economic bully called the deficit, might stand a fighting chance to recover from what ails us if both men retired to their next roles as men of leisure, formerly of a certain public prestige. But since it is easier to dismiss Mr. Immelt from his awkward position right now, dismissal is exactly what should be done.

Just look at the numbers.

Preparing De Facto Those USA Interment Camps

hitler-gun-control

JUST WHEN YOU THINK LIFE is already coming at you at breakneck blistering speed, and you can't possibly grab, grip, or grapple with any more Beckspeak for the moment, something or someone else roars in to ramp up the gulag guzzle a few more notches (not that we don't need every hook and handle to help snatch this wobbling nation back from the claws of the death vultures). But every day a new crisis rodeo. Every hour five or six new opinions render us into helpless participants trapped inside this culture-jamming information box nicking us for energy bent on how to solve the latest what happened, who did it, and why puzzle. The soft belly of someone else's agony, somebody else's disgrace, unknown and unrelated to us, wears us down until we know nothing else unless we have already turned off and become compartmental robots geared only to please ourselves, for who can honestly separate our short measures of divine service and empty gestures for these people or those over there? This time it's Ranger Joe from over at American Thinker with an eyeful of rocket's red glare:

The cocky overconfidence of the forces of George Soros and his pointman Obama say they intend to win 2012 by any means necessary. It's already over but the fraudulent vote count. The war on Libya is based on a Soros theory of strategic humanitarian intervention to create an open global society and is being implemented by his disciple General Samantha Power-Sunnstein. The throne of America from which to collapse capitalism once and for all and establish the New World Order is way too tasty to relinquish. It's all over but the mass arrests of reactionary rightist thought criminals and bread lines. Even the body count of an armed citizen's rebellion is factored into their equation. They are relying on it as a stealth method to reduce excess population and render the people governable. Libya is a rehearsal for the quashing of rebellions and to establish strategic Middle East staging areas for the the Battle of Armageddon to eradicate the Jews. I'm sure Soros has a fifth column of Quislings embedded in Israel. The mission of Marx and his disciple Alinsky and the Mohammedan Caliphate is everything....We the People of the United States are nothing but disposable chaff. This so-called blunder is strategic. The games have begun.

From the other side of the fold, we chuckle like someone who's just pilfered the last french fry from the platter at the splash the Donald recently made on the View, calm, but with firm resolve to be told the truth. Yep, he just wants to see it.

Obama is still a mystery. No friends, no girlfriends, no boyfriends, no co-workers, no employees, no employers, no managers, no professors, no students, no teammates in sports, no teachers. Where is his past?

Very bizarre, don't you think? Are you ready for the internment camps erected for unbelievers just to get away from it all?

Saving Our Republic

The Constitution of the United States of America

We take pause at the burning question of what type of government is best-suited to protect the rights of individuals, and to structure society and enforce norms so as to insure the benefits of liberty and justice to its citizens in times of crisis such as our own.

The most noble, most effective attempt to address this question in the history of the world was the Constitutional Convention of 1787. These men, drawn forth as dutiful representatives of their respective homelands recently bound together to form a conceived new nation, admitted that the US Constitution had flaws, but the flaws were the result of compromising opposing principles.

The US Constitution, more than anything else, is the bulwark Americans of each generation have to boast against totalitarianism and authoritarianism in any form. It is not perfect or especially efficient in times of sinister approach, but it has served us for well over two hundred years despite having enemies both domestic and abroad. Yet, it is simply the best set of reasonable principles we have to guide this great nation forward right now...

One of the major areas of argument brought out by the Federalist Papers was the power of a government to protect its own existence. The revolutionaries argued that a government ought to be subject to change occasionally. The framers argued that a government that cannot guarantee its own existence does not have the power to protect its citizens.

As has been often repeated, the US Constitution is not a suicide pact.

And so, the US government has the power to protect its own existence. This principle serves us as protection against the extra-legal authority of the UN, the World Court, some variant of the European Union, or any other opposing body. The US government simply does not have the power, nor the right, to make commitments which would impede its power to protect itself.

In the American republic its citizens are bestowed with rights and proper powers we need to protect ourselves against uncriticized and unchecked Islamic immigration, which represents a dire threat to our form of government. Enough already of the talk about moral equivalencies which is nothing but straw man establishments. Laws to fight our nation's enemies do not even need to be logically consistent with the laws of our daily inheritance. Why not? Is it not perfectly plain that no body of laws created by men to rule men has ever formed a perfect consistency? No. That is why we seek a more perfect union within this bounty of freedom and liberty with justice for all...

War is war. Or to put it another way, from the Mohammedan mouth, "War is deceit!" And while we might argue that Art is the creation of beauty and truth, originality and transcendence, much the same, we weep, is war.

NO TO SHARIA!

Is Congressman Pete King The Pocket Rocket of CAIR?

Now the bricks lay on Grand Street
Where the neon madmen climb.
They all fall there so perfectly,
It all seems so well timed.
An' here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice.
Oh, Mama, can this really be the end,
To be stuck inside of Mobile
With the Memphis blues again.
—Bob Dylan, 1966

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHY Peter King has not only failed to call Islamic experts Robert Spencer and Steve Emerson to the stand in his “radical” Islam hearings, but now he has also bowed down to Islamic pressure again and has stated he will not call Hirsi Ali to the stand. In return for not using these three very knowledgeable non-and-ex-Muslims as witnesses, King has said he will go with mostly Muslims and Arabs to make his case.

Does Congressman King even begin to realize that Islam encourages Muslims to lie in defense of Islam at ALL TIMES?

Pete King has always shown us a tough New York demeanor, ready to talk hard when required, always the first patriot on the line, a no nonsense character one wouldn't want to cross, but suddenly he appears to have been lured into bed by the deservedly tarred and feathered Council on American-Islamic Relations. I do not ask rhetorically, but demand to know, how much longer until the truth is made know about CAIR, its strategic, pernicious, unjustifiable intentions, and the disgusting insult to American intelligence that it represents...

Mr. King, we encourage you take the time to pursue the hard-won comprehension of these witnesses you have allowed CAIR to dissuade you from hearing. The body of plain evidence they represent, much of it linked here as a good beginning will not be a struggle to comprehend but will an eyeopener for any loyal patriot like yourself. You will learn that CAIR is a liar's club, not to be trusted, better to be avoided, even shunned, until they are legally prosecuted or disbanded. The American nation needs you to understand the full reprehensible story of the Camp of Islam...

Toeing The Party Line

Free Speech Lesson #1

WITH REGARD TO THE female videographer from Human Events who was attacked several times by a belligerant black woman attending the One Country hatefest on October 2, who for some reason did not want to be on camera , we cannot even imagine anyone at a Tea Party rally behaving like this toward a reporter who was merely quietly videotaping the event. And of course if they had, they would have been immediately arrested.

But leftists have behaved this way since the 1960s, (and I have the scars to prove it). Leftists are sad, angry, raging fools; blinded by hatred toward the very country and institutions who have given them so much. But as Oscar Wilde wrote, "the best revenge is living well." We have strong, loving families—children and grandchildren—and they (mostly) do not.

That is another reason that they hate us, and the shape of our values. Did you see pictures of all the litter these liberals left on the grounds while the Glenn Beck crowd and the Tea Party crowds leave the grounds as spotless as they found them?

Interesting observation, non?

Free Speech Lesson #2

To note the sheer ineptitude, or is it just plain fear and dhimmitude that the Left exhibits in dealing with what used to be considered proper morality, let us ask again how imperiled is the freedom of speech?

Take this passage from Slate magazine: "In 2004, filmmaker Theo van Gogh was murdered after making anti-Muslim remarks, as was the anti-immigrant politician Pim Fortuyn in 2002. Why is there so much anti-Muslim rhetoric in the Netherlands?"

Christ spoke of peace - Muhammed spoke of war.
Christ said to love others - Muhammed said kill them.
Christ said turn the other cheek - Muhammed said to behead those that offend you.

And guess which one the "peace and love" liberals rally behind? Because, just like Islam, the liberals, including the state media, is not about "tolerance" and "peace." Not in a thousand years. It's about control and domination with no freedom for anyone who doesn't think like they do, in bowing to the party line convinced of their own righteousness.

What we are up against is not just opposing ideologies. It comes down to the basic battle of GOOD versus EVIL.

Thought Patterns

"It's obvious that Deleuze (the least academic of philosophers) has been co-opted by professor types, tenured radicals and aspiring tenured radicals who in fact are about as radical as your average accountant, and who have zero understanding of the working class or of schizophrenics, two groups Deleuze himself identified with.

But none of that for today's PH.d candidate; it's just another fucking job to them. Might as well be associates in a law firm on route to becoming partners."

p_antschel

Could not be plainer myself. But we understand that's the way it happens across the board.
