An America Patriot Has Passed On A Legacy Worth Emulating

Of course Andrew Breitbart, an American patriot extraordinaire, is worthy of all the words, those of favor and those of disgust hurled at him as a political man with drawn digit in the sand, before and after his life ended so suddenly, unexpectedly, mysteriously, tragically, unspectacularly just after midnight last Thursday as he was walking near his home. He collapsed, and at 43, still a young man, he was gone.

We knew him through his untiring investigative journalism, his tough stances against the unhinged Left and against who and what he considered violent, seditious, determined enemies of the the state in many cases, but certainly enemies of the people, the people who still believe in constitutional loyalty, liberty, justice, courage, responsibility, and the American way. Protection from the government and the forces of the mob. But I'll step aside and let his friend, Robert Spencer share his version of Andrew Breitbart...

Andrew Breitbart & US Flag
Andrew Breitbart
AMONG THE MANY THINGS that made Andrew Breitbart a great man was that he was not playing defense. So many, many times I have been speaking at anti-jihad events and heard other speakers saying, "We are not racists, we are not bigots, we are not Islamophobes..." We have allowed the jihadists and Islamic supremacists, and their Leftist allies, to put us on the defensive. We're always apologizing, tacitly accepting their narrative and responding to them in the parameters they set up. Even worse, many even among the anti-jihadists eagerly throw their colleagues under the bus—those colleagues whom the Left and the Islamic supremacists have started to zero in on. They're the ones we should be standing up for the most resolutely, for they are drawing fire because they are effective.

Instead of bowing and scraping to the Islamic supremacists and feebly protesting that we're not really racists and hatemongers and all the other calumnies and canards they throw at us, we should be taking the fight to them, and standing up and saying, "You are fronting for the most oppressive ideology on the face of the earth. You are fronting for evil. You are carrying water and running interference for the denial of free speech, the denial of the freedom of conscience, the institutionalized oppression of women, the subjugation of non-Muslims, and worse. You're fronting for stonings, amputations, the murder of apostates, the treatment of women as possessions of men, the madness and senseless violence that we see in this furor over the Qur'an-burnings, and more. You shout us down on campuses and do everything you can to make sure we are not heard in the public square. And you call us fascists? You are the quintessence of fascism."

The West's Turning Tide Toward Conservatism

David Mamet
David Mamet

FOR THOSE OF US WHO HAVE STARED into the soul-gnarling lies, generalized apathy, distortion, and social cannibalism the vast wasteland that Hollywood and its imperialist camps scattered across this once great nation prop up in celebration of diversity to mock purported failures of conservatism and its time-tested platform, and not its own bankrupt utopian visions (for others less talented than them), we can once again embrace a brief respite from the horrors of this cultural war. The turning tide now includes former lefty artist extraordinaire, David Mamet. Pulitzer Prize winner and Oscar nominee David Mamet, who in the eyes of many is America’s greatest living playwright as well as a successful screenwriter and movie director (his better known plays and films include Glengarry Glen Ross, American Buffalo, Speed the Plow, The Verdict and House of Games) has published an important book called The Secret Knowledge: On the Dismantling of American Culture, in which, in a no-holds barred approach, he expounds his political and cultural beliefs on the world in general and America in particular.

Mamet, like many in the US today, though probably less so among the usual Hollywood and Broadway types, has in recent years come full circle from starry-eyed liberal to determined conservative, giving short thrift to most of American liberals’ “sacred cows,” in particular ridiculing many of the programs and policies of the current administration with regard to education, economics, health-care, multiculturalism etc.

Liberalism is understood in the US in a very different way than in Europe (and Israel). While in the Old World liberalism is a political philosophy which argues for freedom of the individual in all his activities, including economics, religion, etc. and in particular espouses limited government – in America it is nearly the exact opposite, connoting, among other things, a major role for the state in most of the above. In effect, American liberalism has a much closer relationship with European-style socialism than with classical liberalism.

But while some of Mamet’s polemics about the American political and social scenes may, in the view of some, be debatable or exaggerated, what makes his new book especially important, certainly for Jews, and what sets him apart from some other Jewish intellectuals, is his straightforward, clear-headed and clear-eyed approach to all things Jewish and Israeli. A proud and committed Jew, he closely identifies with the State of Israel, referring to its enemies as “our opponents.”

Post-Modern Racism: A False Flag of Manufactured Sanctimony

Jeremiah Wright
Jeremiah Wright
WHILE MANY OF US POST-BECKSNIFFIANS are familiar with the shocking news that great things and great people of color have participated as free men in this nation since its beginnings, among his many impoverishing 20th Century shaping deeds, President Wilson fired all the blacks who had found a niche in the US Postal Service. He attempted the same with the Navy, where blacks had found a place as ship's stewards. Astute American Thinker J.R. Dunn continues:

Millard Tydings is a liberal hero for opposing the monstrous Joe McCarthy. He was also a racist of the type who couldn't bear having a black individual enter the same room. Tailgunner Joe financed his defeat at the hands of a political neophyte who ran on a civil rights platform—something the libs never see fit to mention.

While never die-hard crusaders for civil rights, the GOP did strive to act fairly when opportunity presented. It was Eisenhower who enforced the Brown decision in 1954, and it was Eisenhower who attempted to pass a civil rights bill in 1956, which went down to defeat at the hands of the segregationist Dixiecrats. When the Democrats did get around to offering a civil rights bill eight years later, it was Republican minority leader Everett Dirksen who got the bill passed after liberal Democrat Hubert Humphrey failed.

This is the outfit that has set itself up as judge, jury, and lord high executioner of American racists. Which means simply "Americans," since the vast majority of them, like Rick Perry, the GOP rank and file, and the Tea Party members, are not racists at all.

But are instead, honest folks who refuse to be cowed by the true racists, those who see nothing but race agitation in the perfunctory colors of a rather natural rainbow.

The Passive Meaning Of Work

Retooling the purpose of a public park...
TODAY, AMERICANS AWAKEN TO ANOTHER HOLIDAY with the bustling of waterside picnics, star-studded telethons, budget-friendly car sales, and a cascade of sports events suited up as far as the camera can field. Summer holidays all seem the same, flag-waving and potato salad, white sales and peculiar packaging of the same old song and dance.

By 1914, the American Federation of Labor was deeply disturbed by this tendency to depoliticize what they saw as a holiday to aggrandize labor unions and try to brainwash the masses with socialist propaganda. “Shall Labor Day lose its distinctive character and become a mere holiday for general meaningless purposes and for the exploitation for private profit?” a union publication asked. “Some labor organizations … have abandoned regular Labor Day demonstrations, parades, meetings, addresses, in the belief that such expenditure of time, effort and money is wasteful. This is a most serious mistake. … Observance of the day is a means of educating public thought and agents for molding public opinion in regard to the principles and purposes of the labor movement.”

Having turned away from the seventh day as a day of rest from all our labors to shop and shame our Maker in menial tasks, even as a conservative, one should empathize with people whose choice or right to work in order to support himself and his family is often blighted by economic forces which make this task an even more arduous one. Have Americans forgotten how to recall the history of a great nation and a great people with any other spirit short of merchandizing it to death?

The life sentence given to humanity by Yahweh to Adam that ye shall work by the sweat of your brow can often, in this ruthless roulette game, begin as or become a pleasurable task followed by a satisfying if not formidable reward for one's labor, but far too often far too few of these outcomes are presented to the larger dispossessed sectors of humanity. Enter politics the savior.

And MANKIND has been chasing its own tale ever since.

Jennifer Carroll: Self-Recognition And Self-Resolve

Lt Gov Jennifer Carroll
Lt Gov Jennifer Carroll
O SAY CAN YOU SEE, by the dawn's early light, and have you ever stopped to take measure of Black Republicans in Congress and other places that have known to represent the power of the people? It's time to get acquainted with one such person, in particular.

Inspired with strong family values, Jennifer Carroll, 51, was born in Trinidad and moved to New York City with her great aunt and uncle when she was 8, just as desegregation was taking hold. On television, she saw reports about civil rights and Martin Luther King's assassination.

Two years after graduating from Uniondale High School in New York state, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1979. After serving as an Aviation Machinist Mate (Jet Mechanic), she was selected for Enlisted Commissioning Program, becoming an Aviation Maintenance Officer in 1985. She retired from the Navy in 1999 as a Lieutenant Commander. In 1981, she received an Associate of Arts degree from Leeward Community College. She followed this in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of New Mexico. She moved to Florida in 1986. She received a Master of Business Administration degree from unaccredited online diploma mill Kensington University in 1995, and then earned another Master of Business Administration degree online from St. Leo University in 2008

Carroll thus became the first black woman to be a major party candidate for lieutenant governor in Florida's history, and the first black woman on any statewide Republican ticket.
"That was the first time I experienced the conversation regarding race," she said. It wasn't until she graduated from high school and enlisted in the Navy in 1979 as a jet mechanic that she experienced racism firsthand, she said.

"When it really started was when I was appointed as the supervisor in charge of white males," Carroll said. "They felt they should have been in charge rather than me."

She made two unsuccessful bids for the United States House of Representatives in 2000 and in 2002. Following her defeat in the 2000 election, she was appointed as Director of the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs serving in that post until July, 2002. She has been elected successively to the Florida House since winning a special election in April 2003, when she became the first African-American female Republican ever elected to the Florida Legislature.

On September 2, 2010, after winning the Republican primary, Rick Scott named Carroll his running mate in the 2010 Florida gubernatorial election. Carroll thus became the first black woman to be a major party candidate for lieutenant governor in Florida's history, and the first black woman on any statewide Republican ticket.

The Perils Of Liberal Creationism

Let's begin with Conviction I: what I call Liberal Creationism or, as the oft-invoked cliché, people are the same all over.

ACCORDING TO THIS GOSPEL, modern humans emerged roughly 180,000 years ago in Africa and eventually populated almost the entire globe. According to evolution, via mutations and selective breeding, humans adapted to varied conditions. For example, in colder climates, white skin and blue eyes facilitated vitamin D absorption. So far, so good. But, though evolution tells us that traits most valuable for survival are more susceptible to change, the human brain remains fixed despite thousands of years of evolutionary pressure in widely unlike settings.
Da Vinci Sketch

Yes, pygmies in central African may be anatomically unlike Swedes, but the brains are identical. So, send the pygmies to Sweden and enroll them in Swedish schools and provide all the benefits of Swedish society, and after a generation or two they will be just like Swedes, albeit a bit shorter and with a darker complexion (or send Swedes to central Africa and they will become blond, blue-eyed "pygmies").

It then follows, according to this Liberal Creed, that those differences in educational attainment, income and social status, and even crime rates and other pathologies must be artificial. If third-generation pygmies living in Sweden lag behind their taller countrymen, the only explanations are discrimination, racism, lack of opportunities, and similar fixable environmental obstacles. Going one step further, since all people have the same brains, equality of intellectual accomplishment is human nature. A multi-billion-krona initiative by the Swedish government to bring pigmies up to the Swedish average in income and education does not contravene nature; it is a social engineering enterprise to restore, not reverse the human default condition of equality. And, the Liberal Creed tells us, this will be accomplished only if Swedes are willing to make the effort.

I recall a more tranquil time in my life (I am only 55) when liberal dogma insisted that the West leave pygmy and other recently "discovered" cultures untouched, (except for vain purposes of Western study), free to continue existing within their own crude but provocative cultures, now being endangered by Western intrusion on upon lands and way of life in order to expose its tribal units to inequality victimhood and Marxist yearnings.

This laissez faire approach was definitely the persuading viewpoint expressed in popular magazines and literature of the day. When and why did this approach change, given that NWO infrastructure informed by Global Marxism had always been a part and parcel of the Frank Boas, Margaret Meade, Margaret Sanger assault on humanity, to bring all these variations of human expression under one roof, so to speak?

Perhaps, I put too fine a point on the author's example of clashing Sweden and Pygmy cultures, but in importing thousands of unvetted "refugees" of a certain uncouth cultural heritage upon the Tennessee and Minnesota constitute the same jarring effects of instant culture clash.

Shards Of History Draw Blood (Shame, Redemption)

"...Centuries-long slavery obviously disrupted this classic pathway..."

The what?? What pathway? The pathway that MOST Africans were and had long been on included selling each other into slavery, living in mud (and other soft) huts, cannibalism, no written language, no nuclear family[—in short, in NO way were blacks on any "glorious pathway" that approximated what they were introduced to THROUGH slavery.

The slave trade flourished in the Arab World, specifically Western Asia, North Africa, East Africa and certain parts of Europe (such as Iberia and southern Italy) during the period of Arab domination. Those traded were not limited to a certain color, ethnicity, or religion and included Arabs and Berbers, especially in its early days during and the earlier generations after Mohammed.

During the 8th and 9th centuries of the Islamic Caliphate, most of the slaves were Slavic Eastern Europeans (called Saqaliba). However, slaves were drawn from a wide variety of regions and included Mediterranean peoples, Persians, Turkic peoples, peoples from the Caucasus mountain regions (such as Georgia, Armenia and Circassia) and parts of Central Asia and Scandinavia, English, Dutch and Irish, Berbers from North Africa, and various other peoples of varied origins as well as those of African origins.

Toward the 18th and 19th centuries, the flow of slaves from East Africa increased with the rise of the Oman sultanate which was based in Zanzibar. They came into direct trade conflict and competition with Portuguese and other Europeans along the Swahili coast. The trade was officially abolished in 1970, although it is still going on in Islamic Africa, and through other more selective means by many in Saudia Arabia and immigrants to the West in other forms closer to indentured servitude.

Sad, is it not, that we all to often fail to acknowledge cold facts that are painful but nevertheless, true. We must push forward without heaviness, without blame, and we must stop the excuses and the hand wringing. Reality is only the crucible for future achievement. Neither the past, the present, or the future is likely to give us perfection, but as we seek to build a better world, let us not cloud history and our association to it with imaginary structures. Think about it clearly folks, just when DID this history thang begin? And who enslaved whom first on this evolutionary-go-round?

Tilting at windmills, is how an inspired poet once put it.
