STILL READING THE RADICAL center book. But let's get simple here. Am I conservative? I have morals. Am I liberal? I want the American worker to be productive, and compensated accordingly. I want decent jobs to stay in this country. I want to buy American made products and services. I want a health care system affordable enough to protect the American family. I want our taxes to stay in AMERICA with the idea of improving AMERICANOT to Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. I want the media to be owned by more than three or four corporations.
We need our borders closed and all immigration into this nation of laws and procedures to be as scrutinized as the damned stock market numbers. We need the US military strengthened to protect our the land of our fathers and our children. We need bold leaders with strong unflinching credentials. Credentials of decency and brutal honesty.
Suffice it to say we are neither served nor titillated by politicians who use their power to lie to the American citizenry or to have sex with staff. American leadership is so deftly corrupt that nothing short of revolutionary regeneration will ever repair the damage they are doing to this country on so many levels.
Remember when Guiliani told the Arab prince where to stick his $10 million check right after September 11? I certainly do. A proud moment for the old American spirit. Refusing to be bought and sold (unlike Fox News who now has Arab investors), Guiliani won the hour. How's this for a deserving ticket?
Support Guiliani/Tancredo in '08. A merrily we must go while beating the dead horse...
Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, stoning for picking up sticks on the Sabbath, then onward to "he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone, and then a long fall to the following depths I post here for my own edification. Whenever I'm weak in pointing out these matters of moral significance to those "moderate Muslim" apologists who usually happen to be non-Muslim white breads from the Dhimmicratic Party I should at least have this page of a few verses to keep it real for them:
Qur’an:9:88 “The Messenger and those who believe with him, strive hard and fight with their wealth and lives in Allah’s Cause.”
Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Qur’an:9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.”
Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission.”
Ishaq:325 “Muslims, fight in Allah’s Cause. Stand firm and you will prosper. Help the Prophet, obey him, give him your allegiance, and your religion will be victorious.”
Qur’an:8:39 “Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.”
Qur’an:8:39 “So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world).”
Ishaq:324 “He said, ‘Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.’”
Qur’an:9:14 “Fight them and Allah will punish them by your hands, lay them low, and cover them with shame. He will help you over them.”
Ishaq:300 “I am fighting in Allah’s service. This is piety and a good deed. In Allah’s war I do not fear as others should. For this fighting is righteous, true, and good.”
Ishaq:587 “Our onslaught will not be a weak faltering affair. We shall fight as long as we live. We will fight until you turn to Islam, humbly seeking refuge. We will fight not caring whom we meet. We will fight whether we destroy ancient holdings or newly gotten gains. We have mutilated every opponent. We have driven them violently before us at the command of Allah and Islam. We will fight until our religion is established. And we will plunder them, for they must suffer disgrace.”
Qur’an:8:65 “O Prophet, urge the faithful to fight. If there are twenty among you with determination they will vanquish two hundred; if there are a hundred then they will slaughter a thousand unbelievers, for the infidels are a people devoid of understanding.”
Ishaq:326 “Prophet exhort the believers to fight. If there are twenty good fighters they will defeat two hundred for they are a senseless people. They do not fight with good intentions nor for truth.”
Bukhari: “A man whose face was covered with an iron mask came to the Prophet and said, ‘Allah’s Apostle! Shall I fight or embrace Islam first?’ The Prophet said, ‘Embrace Islam first and then fight.’ So he embraced Islam, and was martyred. Allah’s Apostle said, ‘A Little work, but a great reward.’”
Bukhari: “Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah alone or pay us the Jizyah tribute tax in submission. Our Prophet has informed us that our Lord says: ‘Whoever amongst us is killed as a martyr shall go to Paradise to lead such a luxurious life as he has never seen, and whoever survives shall become your master.’”
Muslim: “The Messenger said: ‘Anybody who equips a warrior going to fight in the Way of Allah is like one who actually fights. And anybody who looks after his family in his absence is also like one who actually fights.” Qur’an:9:38 “Believers, what is the matter with you, that when you are asked to go forth and fight in Allah’s Cause you cling to the earth? Do you prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? Unless you go forth, He will afflict and punish you with a painful doom, and put others in your place.”
Qur’an:9:123 “Fight the unbelievers around you, and let them find harshness in you.”
Qur’an:8:72 “Those who accepted Islam and left their homes to fight in Allah’s Cause with their possessions and persons, and those who gave (them) asylum, aid, and shelter, those who harbored them—these are allies of one another. You are not responsible for protecting those who embraced Islam but did not leave their homes [to fight] until they do so.” [Another translation reads:] “You are only called to protect Muslims who fight.”
Muslim:C9B1N31 “I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and believe in me (that) I am the Messenger and in all that I have brought.”
Bukhari:V9B84N59 “Whoever says this will save his property and life from me.’”
Qur’an:8:73 “The unbelieving infidels are allies. Unless you (Muslims) aid each other (fighting as one united block to make Allah’s religion victorious), there will be confusion and mischief. Those who accepted Islam, left their homes to fight in Allah’s Cause (al-Jihad), as well as those who give them asylum, shelter, and aid—these are (all) Believers: for them is pardon and bountiful provision (in Paradise).”
Tabari IX:69 “Arabs are the most noble people in lineage, the most prominent, and the best in deeds. We were the first to respond to the call of the Prophet. We are Allah’s helpers and the viziers of His Messenger. We fight people until they believe in Allah. He who believes in Allah and His Messenger has protected his life and possessions from us. As for one who disbelieves, we will fight him forever in the Cause of Allah. Killing him is a small matter to us.”
Qur’an:48:16 “Say (Muhammad) to the wandering desert Arabs who lagged behind: ‘You shall be invited to fight against a people given to war with mighty prowess. You shall fight them until they surrender and submit. If you obey, Allah will grant you a reward, but if you turn back, as you did before, He will punish you with a grievous torture.”
Qur’an:48:22 “If the unbelieving infidels fight against you, they will retreat. (Such has been) the practice (approved) of Allah in the past: no change will you find in the ways of Allah.”
Qur’an:47:4 “When you clash with the unbelieving Infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah’s Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making (them) captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are you commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam.”
Qur’an:47:31 “And We shall try you until We know those among you who are the fighters.”
Tabari VI:138 “Those present at the oath of Aqabah had sworn an allegiance to Muhammad. It was a pledge of war against all men. Allah had permitted fighting.”
Tabari VI:139 “Allah had given his Messenger permission to fight by revealing the verse ‘And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah.’”
Qur’an:9:19 “Do you make the giving of drink to pilgrims, or the maintenance of the Mosque, equal to those who fight in the Cause of Allah? They are not comparable in the sight of Allah. Those who believe, and left their homes, striving with might, fighting in Allah’s Cause with their goods and their lives, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah.”
Ishaq:550 “The Muslims met them with their swords. They cut through many arms and skulls. Only confused cries and groans could be heard over our battle roars and snarling.”
Qur’an:5:94 “Believers, Allah will make a test for you in the form of a little game in which you reach out for your lances. Any who fails this test will have a grievous punishment.”
Of course there must be a line or two about conducting peace with thy neighbors. Even in the English version. Just like in old times.
THERE'S NEWS THAT THE RATHER quiet "moderate" Muslims indeed have hope in their future. And imagine this: that hope is coming from France. Former Marseilles Mufti Soheib Bencheikh has announced that "Islam must be criticized, just as Christianity was [criticized] during the Enlightenment." He goes on to say that "Islam is a message for all humanitytherefore it is not the property of Muslims [alone]."
Born in Saudi Arabia in 1961, Dr. Bencheikh believes that French-style secularism is a necessary precondition for the reform of Islam, and he calls on both Muslims and non-Muslims to participate in critiquing Islam, reinterpreting its holy texts, combating fundamentalism, and helping Islam adapt to the modern era.
Believing that Islamwhich was founded with an emphasis on tribal society has become obsolete, Bencheikh points out that the virilent form of political Islam sweeping the globe today is heresy and can be traced back to the 1960s, a time when most of the Muslim countries began modernizing politically and militarily, while retaining a rigid grip on the general population.
Read more. And let's hope that this special voice of reason survives an almost certain fatwa once the Muslim street catches wind of this criticism of their death cult.
Others will still say that reform is not the answer. Reading about Muslims making conciliatory statements may feel encouraging. After all, the Muslim world is not monolithic. Many decent men, women and children live in dar al-Islam and would be fine citizens under non-Islamic forms of governance. Unfortunately, Islam itself will not allow them to flourish.
It's improbable that Islam can undergo anything resembling a Reformation. Islam is inflexible and rigid as a system, has no non-violent and spiritual role model like Jesus of Nazareth at the center of its belief system and is devoid of appeals to higher ethical standards, like the Ten Commandments or the Golden Rule. It lacks reflection, personal responsibility, free will and empathy.
Islam can't be bent into something new. It's encouraging to hear that some people will openly question the motives and opportunism of the radicalized. But once the chatter starts it is doubtful to stop at a 'kinder, gentler Islam' or 'Islam as a billion points of light'.
Instead, a vigorous backlash could show the Dhimmi West just how serious these "true believers" are about pushing Israel into the sea, ransacking Europe, posting the Islamic flag on the White House lawn, and destroying the infidel wherever he finds them. Islam as it is written in the Koran is more than a religion. It reads clearly as a poliical ideology with a doctrine of Caliphite commanding Muslims to fight to establish a world of Islam controlled by an Islamic capital.
But by all means, let's do try reform before all hell breaks loose.
My friend Bill from Bunratty says the term "War on Terror" has always frustrated him. He asks with due diligenceare we at war with the Tamil Tigers, the IRA, the Baader-Meinhof Gang, the Red Brigades, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Weathermen, Earth First, et cetera? He answers his own question:
Nonone of the abovewe are at war with Muslim terrorists who are acting in a straightforward manner on the tenets of their ideology. If the term "War with Islam" is too unpalatable for politicians and public figures to utter, perhaps "War with Islam's War on us" would work for them. It's a little wordy, but at least it is not disengenuous like the ridiculous "War on Terror."
Well done, Bill. I couldn't have said it better. Let's use sane syllables, not language that camouflages our meaning.
WHY HAVE OUR LEADERS forsaken us? In this house of mirrors some dub the war against terrorism, why is it that our elected leadership doesn't seem to know the depths our enemies prepare for us, refusing to call the enemy by his real name. Is it possible that our leadership is so thwarted by ignorance and arrogance that the true aggressive nature of the Islamic threat is as veiled from them as is the hair of a Shi'ite woman strolling the streets of Tehran today?
It just doesn't seem possible, does it? Let's take the administrations of George Bush and Tony Blair. They both have experts, war experts, culture experts, language experts, economic experts, and every stripe of experts on experts on campus. Why the disconnect between what's happening on the ground in the name of Allah and what's happening in the mouths of these leaders who continue to suck up to the disemblers of Islam?
Is this a top level case of dumb and dumber, or simply a Western ploy to win friends and influence oil shieks despite the evidence that quite the opposite is happening?
Is it true that once our proud leaders achieve dizzying heights of power they suddenly believe they are superhuman and can bring peace on earth and good will to mankind, simply by the force of their back slapping personalties?
And for good measure, simultaneously sell their own nations out for selfish financial gain? Let's face fact. We have a string of politicians on both sides of the Atlantic a hundred years counting who sure up their own personal empires whilst destroying the empire of the people they serve.
Since they are not in touch with their own duplicity it is no surprise they are in denial about the political duplicity festering in the Middle East. Unfortunately, many mainstream Americans haven't gazed away from their navals long enough to understand their own nation's counter-productive "meddling" overseas either.
My point is simple. Truth condemns each and every one of us humans because we all, at some time or other, deny our own duplicity out of short-sighted selfishness. In our denial we commit stupid acts to avoid responsibility of other acts we have committed.
The West's unfortunate legacy to the world is violence. We sell weapons to practically anyone ready to upgrade from the pebbles and bottle bombs of their stone-age economies, as we fail to understand human nature and hand over empires to despots and then sell these despots weapons to establish and then prop up their new mini-empires.
The whole planet needs reformation. The reformation does not need to start in Iraq so much as it does here in the West. We have sold our souls for short term personal wealth and a temporary peace because the truth about ourselves is inconvenient and greed is just too convenient to pass up.
We left a desire for virtue, chastity, honesty, self-sacrifice, and honest pilgimmage in the Middle Ages and now we have nothing to to defend us against those that brought forward the lie, greed, and oppression from those same times.
Maybe this crisis of conscience will wake us up to the reality of our own and our leaders' own shortcomings. Perhaps we will rally before it is too late to do something positive and pertinent about it. The shame of ugly truth staring back at us as we curse the mirrors and praise our enemies is perhaps we will not.
Just to be clear about this. I tend to rant against the leftists because I know more of them in my personal orbit, but the righties own a good bit of blame here, too, in turning a blind eye to the Boys of Sharia Law. We live in a capitalist world, and money doesn't just talk, it screams in bold bloody italics, and we need to be diligently concerned about the problem this presents us in the muddy middle because the multinational corporate elite is fixated on Arab and Islamic money and uninterrupted markets. That's why the elite embraces the oily lies generated by Muslims on the move, both in Europe and in North America.
George Dubya got his start in business thanks to help from the bin Laden family. And I read some source recently claiming that the distinguished law firm of Baker Botts works just three clientsExxon Mobil, the Bush Family and the Saudis (whom they also serve as a lobbyist in DC), but their official boilerplate is more telling as follows:
"Baker Botts is a global firm with approximately 700 lawyers serving clients of all sizes in a wide variety of industries all over the world. A global energy and technology firm with world-class lawyers, we have reach that extends beyond U.S. borders and have delivered outstanding legal service since 1840. Baker Botts is a recognized national leader in complex litigation, white collar criminal defense and appellate advocacy. From negotiating complex transcontinental pipeline projects throughout the world to navigating rapidly changing technology and business environments, Baker Botts' collaborative teams consistently provide excellent client service."
Yep. Oil slicks and politicians are selling us out. Read this important commentary on the swindle.
No ideological blinders here my heroesthe problem lurks from both the Left and the Right. It's time to start driving those nails into the coffin of political correctness and business as usual in winning this war forward without one arm tied behind our backs as both parties and their respective natural allies would have it.
In other news, Ted Halstead and Michael Lind's bookThe Radical Center arrived today. So I'm off to the reading chair...
US Airways went too far, says one righteous dude. They really treated these guys like manure, he says. Once they investigated them and their luggage, discovering that they didn't have any bombs or other dangerous contraband, they should have apologetically placed them on the next flight to their location and seated them in first class. Sadly, US Airways has no class. Or so says this same righteous dude. He admits that he doesn't have any problem with these six Imams being interrogated and investigated, but the airline should conduct its business of security with the utmost civility and respect. In other wordsdon't punish them for simply being Muslim, or inconsiderate to their fellow passengers or the airlines.
Righteous dude surmizes that the airlines will probably be sued for racial and religious discrimination, and will sadly have to pay up because the "Holy Men" were not allowed to take any flight, even after a full investigation.
Sorry Charlie. There's another viewpoint. One Muslim apologist is quoted as saying "If up to now, they (meaning the general public and the airlines) don't know about prayers, this is a real problem."
Another righteous fellow named Mark explains his own insight when he suggests that the previous quote clarifies the entire incident. He writes, "When I fly, to Israel, and the religious folks pray, ten at a time, everyone's polite with apologies if they're doing it in the context of others. In other words, the normal bounds of manners apply. The doers owe those not doing the manners to explain or apologize if their words or bodies in any way impede those not doing. Thus, they are 'accepted' even by those who don't believe in any of that.
But this is not the case. Instead we hear a sarcasticIf they don't know about prayersremark, in what has become the normal response of Muslims. We are here, this is our culture, deal with it. We are superior beings (except when we are victims), we are holier than thou. Frankly, in my opinion, that's the root of it all.
More than likely all the Muslim imams had to do, was smile, saying to those in their seats next to where they were praying "excuse us, please, we do our prayers, and we don't mean any intrusion" or the like. Simple manners, politely telling people, who have been threatened with airline hijackings, beheadings, and mutilation on a worldwide basis, that theythe Muslimsmerely wish to pray, mean no harm, and in short, announce themselves as polite, normal decent folks.
They of course were arrogant, and refused to explain to the stewardesses and fellow passengers what they were doing. Thus they were giving off the usual muslim vibe of 'Screw you infidel.'
Which explains why they got tossed. This is also why the airlines refused to book them elsewhere. In a nervous interview with the media circus surrounding this event, the Muslim apologist announced there were over 200 iMams in the airport at the time since they had all gone to and were returning from the same religious conference. "Surely," he noted "the airlines should have known what was going on." He meant simple prayers were going on. But this admission can have another interpretation. If over 200 iMams made their flights back why did only six get treated to the boot. Perhaps the attitude of the individual "holy men" in question might explain the airline's behavior.
Concerning public prayers, and this goes for all those self-enamored Christian evangelicals among us as well, let's see what Jesus of Nazareth had to say:
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Ah, the air is much better now. Too bad few people believe these very decent words to the wise. Bottom line, Muslim passengers have been flying for years. Why now, this outrage in a long string of Muslim outrages? I'll tell you why. To rankle and buckle the system. To encroach further into the public eye always on the scan for a politically correct victim. To anybody with common sense this latest Muslim outrage is oblique non-sense, a calculated propaganda stunt.
This whole incident underscores the fact that many Muslims seem to feel no sense of accountability for all of the violence committed in the name of their religion. Here's another take I found from Hoosier Gal:
"A few days ago, I was reading a thread on the Big Pharoah blog, in which he questioned why non-Muslims object to the phrase "Allahu Akbar", since all believers of every faith believe that God is great. Several people set him straight: 'Allahu Akbar' are the last words that an infidel hears before a Muslim kills him. If you hear it on a plane, it's the equivalent of yelling 'fire' in a crowded theaterit will create panic. It is a war cry. Abruptly standing up and reciting Muslim prayers on a plane has an identical effect on people. These Imams need to get a clue. If you want to stay out of trouble, don't "go all Islamic" when you're on a plane!"
Very interesting concept. While America is busy policing religion out of every public arena great and small, and has gone on record stating the yelling fire in a crowded theatre is NOT constitutionally protected speech, it seems highly logical that screaming a recognizable war cry on a Western airplane would also be outlawed.
America is beginning to wake up to these dangers. The dhimmi Left will continue to support as strong allies almost anything the Muslims try to pull until the real hurt begins to be felt, such as a nuclear blast on American soil, and perhaps even then will find a way to embrace their own worst enemy, but I am occasionally surprized at how interested and informed middle America is becoming while the leftist street boondoggle remains comfortably numb with its denial of the dangers that await America, Israel, and Europe, in the form of jihadist and their so-called "moderate" Islam rearguard.
