Beating The Dead Horse

TILL READING THE RADICAL center book. But let's get simple here. Am I conservative? I have morals. Am I liberal? I want the American worker to be productive, and compensated accordingly. I want decent jobs to stay in this country. I want to buy American made products and services. I want a health care system affordable enough to protect the American family. I want our taxes to stay in AMERICA with the idea of improving AMERICA—NOT to Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. I want the media to be owned by more than three or four corporations. Just Like Old Times

ye for eye, tooth for tooth, stoning for picking up sticks on the Sabbath, then onward to "he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone, and then a long fall to the following depths I post here for my own edification. Whenever I'm weak in pointing out these matters of moral significance to those "moderate Muslim" apologists who usually happen to be non-Muslim white breads from the Dhimmicratic Party I should at least have this page of a few verses to keep it real for them: Qur’an:9:88 “The Messenger and those who believe with him, strive hard...

A Muslim Reformer?

HERE'S NEWS THAT THE RATHER quiet "moderate" Muslims indeed have hope in their future. And imagine this: that hope is coming from France. Former Marseilles Mufti Soheib Bencheikh has announced that "Islam must be criticized, just as Christianity was [criticized] during the Enlightenment." He goes on to say that "Islam is a message for all humanity—therefore it is not the property of Muslims [alone]." Born in Saudi Arabia in 1961, Dr. Bencheikh believes that French-style secularism is a necessary precondition for the reform of Islam, and he calls on both Muslims and non-Muslims to participate in critiquing Islam, reinterpreting its...

Sane Syllables

y friend Bill from Bunratty says the term "War on Terror" has always frustrated him. He asks with due diligence—are we at war with the Tamil Tigers, the IRA, the Baader-Meinhof Gang, the Red Brigades, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the Weathermen, Earth First, et cetera? He answers his own question: No—none of the above—we are at war with Muslim terrorists who are acting in a straightforward manner on the tenets of their ideology. If the term "War with Islam" is too unpalatable for politicians and public figures to utter, perhaps "War with Islam's War on us" would work for them....

Inquiries From The Peanut Gallery

HY HAVE OUR LEADERS forsaken us? In this house of mirrors some dub the war against terrorism, why is it that our elected leadership doesn't seem to know the depths our enemies prepare for us, refusing to call the enemy by his real name. Is it possible that our leadership is so thwarted by ignorance and arrogance that the true aggressive nature of the Islamic threat is as veiled from them as is the hair of a Shi'ite woman strolling the streets of Tehran today? It just doesn't seem possible, does it? Let's take the administrations of George Bush and...
